    Mid-level & Senior Associate (Banking & Finance)

    Job Description

    • The successful candidate will join the highly successful Banking & Finance practice and work closely with the partner and other members within the Group to ensure that their businesses and transactions are structured optimally, and client expectations are exceeded.

    Responsibilities

    • Advising clients on a wide range of matters, with a particular focus on providing legal advice to clients in general banking transactions (including fund finance, corporate finance, asset finance, securitization, capital markets).
    • Working with a client base that comprises of domestic and international clients and with prestigious foreign law firms.
    • Engaging in business development activities, being active in the promotion of the firm and seeking opportunities for new work and cross-selling.
    • Working as part of a team and in daily interaction with the partners and taking an active part in sharing knowledge and experience by managing junior lawyers.

    Requirements

    • Ideal candidate should at least have 4 years post-qualification experience as a finance lawyer.
    • The Senior Associates should have at least 4 years working experience post call
    • The Associates should have at least 2 - 3 years working experience post-call.
    • Must have knowledge & transactional experience in Banking & Finance.
    • Strong academic background with excellent communication and drafting skills.
    • Beyond the competencies, we are interested in lawyers with good character, passion, innovation and leadership.
    • We prefer that these applicants are not planning to relocate or go for further studies in the next two years.

    Mid-level & Senior Associate (Oil & Gas)

    Responsibilities

    • Provide advice, opinion and services from a legal viewpoint all types of agreements with respect to joint ventures, joint ventures partners, outside suppliers, customers, agents, contractors and also lead Counsels by providing knowledge and expertise in accordance with internal Policies and applicable laws and regulations.
    • Lead in the drafting and reviewing the preparation of legal documents and agreements (e.g. Heads of Agreement, Memorandum of Understanding, Term Sheets, Articles of Association, Lease Agreement, Technical Services Agreements, Oil and Gas Services Contracts, Production Sharing Agreements with the aim of protecting the firm's interests.
    • Lead and coordinate activities in the negotiation of the legal aspects of major agreements on behalf of the firm with foreign partners, purchasers and financiers

    Requirements

    • Candidates should at least have 4 years experience post call.
    • The Senior Associates should have at least 4 years working experience post call

    Responsibilities

    • Candidate will be embedded in the business and will be heavily involved with supporting a variety of legal and tech related projects.
    • Candidate has to be a tech savvy and entrepreneurial individual who is able to add value to the team not only from a legal perspective but also strategic.
    • Candidate should have a broad focus covering commercial contracts, data protection, corporate governance and assisting with building out the legal function internationally and developing existing and new policies/templates.

    Mid-level & Senior Associate (Capital Markets)

    Responsibilities

    • Verification of the legal status of the company whose securities are about to be offered to the public.
    • Examining all documents, contracts, correspondences and advising the Issuing House accordingly on same.
    • Ensuring due compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements and relevant corporate approvals.
    • Drafting, review and negotiation of all transaction documents related to loan sales, securitizations, warehouse facilities and platform investments.
    • Assistance with corporate financing transactions, corporate housekeeping matters and special projects, as needed.

    • Must have knowledge & transactional experience in Capital Markets.
    • Enthusiasm for the application of new technologies and methods to old problems.
    • An ability and desire to develop expertise in new or unfamiliar areas of law.

    Human Resources Professional

    Responsibilities

    • Support the development and implementation of HR initiatives and systems
    • Provide counseling on policies and procedures
    • Be actively involved in recruitment by preparing job descriptions, posting ads and managing the hiring process
    • Create and implement effective onboarding plans
    • Assist in performance management processes
    • Support the management of disciplinary and grievance issues
    • Maintain employee records (attendance, EEO data etc.) according to policy and legal requirements
    • Review employment and working conditions to ensure legal compliance.

    Requirements

    • Proven 2 - 3 years experience as HR officer, administrator or other HR position
    • Must have experience of independently implementing HR structures & systems
    • Knowledge of HR functions (pay & benefits, recruitment, training & development etc.)
    • Understanding of labor laws and disciplinary procedures
    • Proficient in MS Office; knowledge of HRMS is a plus
    • Outstanding organizational and time-management abilities
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Problem-solving and decision-making aptitude.
