    Legal Manager

    Description

    • As a Legal Manager at Renmoney, you will provide guidance and support to the Legal department regarding legal and other related matters and ensure the company’s is protected against legal risks at all times.

    Responsibilities 

    • Provide sound advice on corporate, commercial and legal issues and matters, to Renmoney as well as its various business units and departments.
    • Manage Renmoney’s litigation portfolio and liaise with its external counsels and solicitors.
    • Review and draft contracts and agreements to ensure they comply with all applicable statutory or regulatory requirements.
    • Contract negotiation and Contract management.
    • Efficiently identify, assess and mitigate legal risks across the entire business and develop and implement policies and procedures to minimize identified legal risks.
    • Manage and oversee Renmoney’s intellectual property portfolio as well as ensure protection and enforcement of its intellectual property rights.
    • Assist the Chief Legal Officer with any other duties or projects as required.

    Requirements

    • LLB degree from an accredited university.
    • BL.
    • At least eight (8) years post-call legal experience.
    • Corporate/Commercial law experience in a reputable law firm or in a CBN regulated entity.
    • In-depth knowledge of regulatory and international business law.
    • Masters’ degree will be an advantage.

    Training and Development Specialist

    Description

    • We are looking for a Training and Development specialist who will play a pivotal role in shaping our organizational learning and development initiatives. You will be responsible for conducting thorough research on industry trends and best practices, identifying and conducting training and learning needs, designing curriculum and course content, delivering high-quality training both virtually and in-person, and optimizing staff performance to support our mission of empowering our customers and driving organizational growth. 

     Responsibilities 

    • Conduct research on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in learning and development to ensure Renmoney MFB remains at the forefront of employee training and development. 
    • Collaborate with departmental heads and stakeholders to identify training needs and gaps within the organization, conducting thorough needs assessments to inform the development of targeted learning interventions.  
    • Utilize instructional design principles and methodologies to design engaging and effective training programs, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.  
    • Facilitate dynamic and interactive training sessions both virtually and in-person, utilizing a variety of instructional techniques and multimedia tools to enhance learning outcomes. 
    • Work closely with HR and departmental managers to optimize staff performance through targeted training interventions, coaching, and performance support initiatives. 
    • Collaborate with the HR Department to ensure training initiatives align with organizational objectives.  
    • Generate comprehensive reports on the impact of learning/training activities, participant feedback, and learning outcomes, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.  
    • Assist and deliver training sessions in a variety of formats, including classroom-based, virtual, and on-the-job training 

    Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree in business / human resource management, organizational development, related fields or, professional certifications in training and development are a plus. 
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Learning and Development or training roles, preferably in the financial services industry. 
    • Strong analysis and reporting skill.
    • Advanced proficiency in MS PowerPoint, Excel, and Learning Management Systems (LMS). 
    • Very good communication skills, strong interpersonal skills and leadership skills to build rapport with diverse stakeholders. 
    • Demonstrate facilitation skills with a track record of delivering engaging and impactful training sessions. 
    • Knowledge of curriculum and course design models such as ADDIE and SAM

    Legal and Compliance Officer

    Description

    • The purpose of this role is to assist the Legal & Compliance Department in executing its duties in Renmoney i.e. ensuring protection of the Company’s legal interests as well as compliance with applicable laws. 

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Assist with filing AML returns as required by law.
    • Providing administrative support to the Compliance team on general compliance issues.
    • Maintaining regulatory correspondence, litigation, and contract trackers.
    • Liaise with external counsel engaged by the company to ensure delivery according to the terms of their engagement.
    • Provide first level draft and review for contracts.
    • Provide first level legal advice on a range of issues, including legal risk, opportunities, and corporate, commercial, and legal matters.
    • Support board, committee, and management meetings.
    • Drafting and review of letters, court documents and contracts. 
    • Provide administrative support to the Legal and Compliance Department as and when necessary. 

    Requirements

    • Knowledge of banking and financial service regulations. 
    •  Education: LL. B degree from an accredited university and B.L from Nigeria Law School
    • Good administrative and organizational skills
    • Minimum One year Post NYSC experience
    • Must be self-motivated and demonstrate a sense of ownership and integrity. 
    • Possess excellent interpersonal and organizational skills. 
    • Must have excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
