    Senior Accountant

    What will I be doing?

    As Senior Accountant, you will supervise the Accounts function within the Finance department by overseeing the development and processes of accurate reports and account management. Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

    • Ensure the accuracy of all department processes and recommend improvements where necessary
    • Supervise processes and people to ensure that all deadlines are met
    • Carry out all bank account reconciliations on a weekly/monthly basis
    • Reconcile all Balance Sheet accounts monthly
    • Support all units within the Finance team whenever there is a gap
    • Prepare weekly / monthly statutory reports
    •  Assist in the smooth execution of all Audit engagements and queries (Internal and external) 
    • Verify all postings to ledgers for proper entry to correct account classifications
    • Development of the Finance Team and other roles that may interact with financial processes to help provide the hotel with a multi-skilled Team
    • Build accurate financial reports and identify discrepancies clearly
    • Act in accordance with fire, health and safety regulations and follow the correct procedures when required
    • Execute tasks/requests as instructed by the Finance Manager, DOF  and/or General Manager

    What are we looking for?

    A senior Accountant serving Hilton brands is always working on behalf of our Guests and working with other Team Members. To successfully fill this role, you should maintain the attitude, behaviours, skills, and values that follow:

    • Minimum of Second Class Upper in Accounting.
    • Chartered Accountant (ACCA or ICAN)
    • At least 5 years’ experience (post-NYSC) in managing same function
    • Positive attitude and good communication skills.
    • Excellent analytical skill (Excel inclusive)
    • Able to effectively deal with team members and guests in a friendly and positive manner
    • Flexibility to respond to a range of different work situations.
    • Excellent grooming standards
    • Good understanding of the hotel Finance function and accounting packages in use (SUN, BI Q&A, BirchStreet etc.) will be an added advantage

    Store Assistant

    What will I be doing?

    As Store Assistant, you will assist the Storekeeper in managing the goods and deliveries moving in and out of the hotel and will ensure that these deliveries reach the appropriate destinations and are logged according to Hilton's purchasing and procurement standards. Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

    • Receive and forward all goods and deliveries in and out of the hotel to the correct point of contact/storage area.
    • Keep accurate recordings of all incoming and outgoing goods.
    • Identify slow-moving items to avoid over purchasing.
    • Place orders through online procurement system
    • Maintain exclusive control over central stores of the hotel with respect to issue releases, control over deliveries and hotel stock counts.
    • Adhere to all Health and Safety procedures particularly relating to food and beverage items.
    • Assist and support Team Members, Managers and the wider Food and Beverage Department in a team environment.
    • Offer excellent customer service to customers and Guests.
