    Chief Technology Officer

    JOB PURPOSE

    The chief technology officer (CTO) is responsible for overseeing the development and dissemination of technology for external customers, vendors, and other clients to help improve and increase business. The CTO will also deal with internal IT operations of the company to ensure an efficient and secure network.

    JOB SUMMARY

    We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to set strategy and make executive technology decisions on behalf of the organization including managing a technology budget and making the necessary investments to align the organization with its vision for its technological needs. The CTO must possess technology visionary with expertise skills in technological development with an ability to execute the company’s vision.

    Working directly with the CEO, the CTO will act as both a technology and business expert, making decisions impacting current and future operations.

    As the CTO, he/she will oversee all technology and technological resources, establish the technology vision, strategies, and growth plans. The CTO will also lead system and quality assurance processes to ensure the protection of Utilities’ assets while maintaining and evolving technology needs.

    For this role, we are seeking expertise in supporting a growth strategy by expanding existing customer relationships, anticipating current and future needs, developing new business opportunities, and cultivating partner relationships.

    Additionally, the CTO holds the fiduciary responsibility for developing, administering, monitoring, and coordinating the enterprise technology budget as decisions related to technology needs influence spending patterns for departments an programs across the organization.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Providing technical leadership at the enterprise level and serve an integral role in operations and business development.
    • Developing objectives and strategies for the implementation of innovative solutions while optimizing existing systems, applications, and information
    • Making recommendations and present business advantages for technology initiatives and improvements
    • Leading your team in identifying, comparing, selecting, and implementing technology solutions and partnerships to meet current and future needs
    • Tracking and controlling the developments of annual operating and capital budgets for purchasing, staffing and technology operations
    • Designing and leading the implementation of our strategy for technology while ensuring the implementation and enforcement of technology standards across the organization
    • Advocating and communicating technology capabilities internally and externally, including leadership, Utilities Board, customers, partners, and vendors
    • Sharing information and developing a collective understanding of programs and issues.
    • Structuring technology policies, procedures, and standards to ensure organizational success.
    • Making technology-related recommendations supported by data for policy adoption that includes analysis of current regulatory actions, technological innovations, and fiduciary considerations.
    • Conducting research to remain up-to-date and knowledgeable regarding industry trends and emerging technologies in anticipation of new processes and system alterations, as well as to analyze and improve upon technology standards across the organization to maintain a technological advantage for teaching and learning

    ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Actively pursue opportunities within a broad range of clients from enterprises of all sizes to SMEs , Telcos, FSIs, aggregators and mobile service providers.
    • Manage the complete sales process from lead generation to closing the sale.
    • Represent the company at conferences and clients meetings as required to present company and product information in order to obtain new business.
    • Reports to the Head of sales key responsibilities.
    • Bring in new revenue through potential and existing clients.
    • Generate new business leads and opportunities.

    QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE

    • 5 years’ experience in B2B sales, preferable in a software industry.
    • First degree (minimum 2:2)
