    Buyer (FMCG)

    Our Client, a new operant in the FMCG sector, is currently seeking applications from suitably qualified candidates to fill the vacant position:

    Job Title: Buyer (FMCG)

    Reporting Line: Management

    Location: Gbagada, Lagos State.

    Job Responsibilities/Accountabilities

    • Lead Brand development and execution of annual marketing activation plans that drives achievement of business objectives
    • Devise strategies for the generation of business information that can aid the company’s growth plan.
    • Grow the FMCG business of the company.

    • Lead tracking of business on a monthly basis to assess progress vs. plan and recommend adjustments as appropriate
    • Develop and apply in-depth understanding of consumer insights to advance the business
    • Lead cross-functional teams in order to execute brand initiatives leading multiple projects and teams to achieve results
    • Prospect for new clients
    • Manage budget and monitor spend against planned objectives
    • Develop, lead and execute purchasing strategies
    • Craft negotiation strategies and close deals with optimal terns
    • Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness
    • Devise and use fruitful sourcing strategies
    • Discover profitable suppliers and initiate business and organizational partnerships
    • Forecast prices and market trends to identify changes of balance in buyer supplier power
    • Perform cost and scenario analysis as well as benchmarking
    • Partner with reliable stakeholders to ensure clear requirements documentation
    • Determine quantity, quality and timing of all deliverables
    • Foresee alterations in the comparative negotiating ability of suppliers and clients
    • Expect unfavourable events through analysis of data and prepare control strategies
    • Perform risk management for supply contracts and agreements thereby curtailing spending and building a culture of long-term savings on procurement cost

    Requirements

    • Minimum of 5 years relevant experience, out of which 3 years must be in FMCG sector
    • First degree holder in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Purchasing and Supply or related field
    • MBA/Professional certification is added advantage
    • Experience in collecting and analysing data
    • Talent in negotiation, sourcing and procurement techniques
    • Good knowledge of suppliers and dexterity in “reading” the market
    • Aptitude in decision making and numeracy skills
    • Must be able to build a network of suppliers and stakeholders
    • Self driven with excellent interpersonal skills.
    • Excellent computer skills (Excel, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint).
    • Critical thinking and negotiation skills.
    • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
    • Occasional travel.

    Agency Manager

    Our client, a multipurpose cooperative and investment society based in Lagos State is seeking to hire an experienced Agency Manager for its agency banking operations in Nigeria. 

    JOB TITLE: AGENCY MANAGER

    JOB TYPE: FULL TIME

    JOB LOCATION: GBAGADA, LAGOS STATE

    REPORTING LINE: GENERAL MANAGER

    General Responsibilities

    • Responsible for planning and implementing all the cooperative’s Electronic Banking offerings. This individual will lead, manage and hold accountable Cash Management Sales and Support staff that manage all aspects of electronic banking services (online, mobile, remote deposit, wire transfers, debit and credit card programs.
    • Must understand the Coop Society needs for electronic banking, manage budgets, and recommend changes to offerings to best meet requirements.
    • The position ensures all Cooperative members have a clear understanding of current offerings and amendments to offerings, in addition to ensuring operations staff have the tools to process from the backside.
    • Oversees all electronic banking activities such as Interswitch, Phone banking, Online banking, ATM and debit card services, SMS banking, Electronic alert, account opening, Mobile banking, fund transfers, other E-commerce and value added services.

    Main responsibilities

    • Work with senior management to define the vision, scope and requirements for the usage of Electronic Banking applications.
    • Research, select and implement electronic banking services (including risk assessments).
    • Acts as the primary interface to the cooperative society and electronic banking service providers.
    • Develops policies and procedures for electronic banking processes in order to ensure compliance with established standards and regulations.
    • Responsible for the cooperative’s cash management online products and services.
    • Assist with the design and development of new on- line banking products.
    • Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets.
    • Manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs in terms of mobile banking.
    • Provides timely technical and administrative support on mobile banking transactions, Cards and ATM, Digital Banking and Electronic Banking to management.
    • Monitor and review communications for all products and services supported by the E-Payments team for issues, enhancements and new feature/functionality.
    • Escalate unresolved issues, including all relevant details, to appropriate individuals and/or vendors.
    • Recognizes and suggests process improvements, then executes approved changes successfully.
    • Must keep current and maintain extensive knowledge of the Rules and Regulations regarding the processing of mobile, bank, card and ATM transactions and electronic payments.
    • Be a Go-To resource when any of the managers/agents are not available.
    • Be the liaison between the bank and the Cooperative.

    Qualification and Requirements

    • Associates/Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent financial related experience
    • 5- Years experience in commercial bank in similar role or equivalent 8 Years experience Microfinance banking experience in a similar role.
    • A thorough understanding of banking products and services.
    • Competent in the use of Microsoft Office, especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
    • Must also have experience with various software programs related to cooperative society operations.
    • Sufficient knowledge of Cooperative Society banking regulations.
    • Proficient in the use of electronic banking products.
    • Other professional qualifications related to banking/cooperative society will be an added advantage.

    Skills:

    • Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a time sensitive environment.
    • Thorough knowledge of cooperative society operations.
    • Thorough knowledge of financial institutions, payment processing flows (especially electronic payments), and the financial networks for processing.
    • Working knowledge of Banking/Financial Institution regulatory requirements.
    • Thorough knowledge of all technical and administrative functions of the E-Payments.
    • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
    • Keen attention to detail.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Knowledge of different project lifecycles (Waterfall, Agile, Scrum)
    • Ability to communicate and relate to people from varying relationships (i.e. personal and business), varying levels of understanding, and varying levels of positions.
    • Provide outstanding customer service.
    • Ability to understand, use, monitor, and evaluate varying types of computer systems.
