    Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) Officer

    Job Summary

    • The ESG Officer is responsible for integrating Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles into the Group’s investment processes. This includes ensuring ESG compliance, supporting ESG-aligned investment strategies, analyzing ESG risks and opportunities, and driving sustainability reporting. The role ensures full integration of ESG factors into investment decision-making, risk management, product development, regulatory compliance, and stakeholder reporting. The ESG Officer also supports investor engagement and drives the firm’s sustainability agenda in line with Nigerian regulatory expectations (SEC Nigeria, NGX, FRC) and global best practices (PRI, TCFD, SASB, ISSB).

    Job Details

    • Ensure implementation and continuous refinement of the Group’s ESG framework, policies, and procedures 
    • Work closely with portfolio managers, analysts, and investment teams to embed ESG metrics in client recommendations, due diligence, valuation models and investment decision making. 
    • Develop ESG integration frameworks tailored to asset classes (equities, fixed income, alternatives, infrastructure funds, etc.).
    • Support development of ESG-themed products (green funds, climate strategies, impact investment portfolios). 
    • Monitor ESG risks and opportunities across portfolios and markets. 
    • Ensure compliance with relevant ESG and sustainability regulations (e.g., SEC, EU SFDR, NGX ESG guidelines, ISSB standards—depending on jurisdiction). 
    • Prepare ESG and sustainability reports for regulators, clients, and internal management. 
    • Engage with investee companies on ESG issues and track engagement progress. 
    • Train employees, senior management and board committees on ESG policies, investment Integration, and ethical standards. Work with Legal, Risk, and Compliance teams to ensure robust governance practices.

    Requirements

    • Knowledge of sustainability regulations and reporting requirements.
    • Ability to translate ESG risks into financial implications.

    • High ethical standards, attention to detail, and strategic thinking.

    QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE 

    • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Sustainability, Environmental Science, Law, or related fields.
    • Professional certifications (CFA ESG Certificate, SASB FSA, GARP SCR, or equivalent) an additional advantage.
    • 5–7 years’ experience in finance, investment research, ESG or corporate sustainability. 
    • Solid understanding of asset management, capital markets, and investment principles.
    • Strong understanding of global ESG frameworks.
    • Experience with ESG data providers is an asset.

    Legal and Company Secretarial Officer

    Job Summary

    • Providing legal and company secretarial support to ARM business units in connection with a diverse range of corporate and commercial transactions including project finance, corporate finance, real estate, mergers & acquisitions, private equity transactions etc.

    Job Details

    •  Company Secretarial Services: Ensure the effective delivery of company secretarial services including (but not limited to) the planning and organizing of Board meetings, Annual General Meetings, and communication of resolutions and outcomes. Maintenance of best corporate governance practice including but not limited to ensuring that regulatory filings are promptly made, providing advice to management in respect of company secretarial matters, keeping statutory books and ensuring compliance with governance expectations.
    •  Collaboration with Compliance Unit: Ensure extensive due diligence, is conducted on counterparties and that all returns and filings to Regulators are promptly made. 
    • Stakeholder Management: Proactively seek to build mutually beneficial, and trusting relationships with both internal stakeholders (subsidiaries and shared service functions), and external stakeholders (i.e. regulators), with the aim of delivering operational impact 
    • Legislative Watch: Proactively identify, analyse, and respond to legislative developments affecting ARM and its subsidiaries with the aim of shaping policies and legislation to ARM’s benefit
    •  Provide Legal Advisory: Provide legal advisory to internal stakeholders on contracts, financial regulations, and internal policies, as well as on regulatory, institutional, and financial issues arising from the interpretation and application of regulatory requirements / provisions. 
    • Legal Drafting: Responsible for preparing and reviewing legal documentation for a wide range of the organization’s activities; negotiating relevant drafts or master agreements, reviewing individual transaction documents; proposes and designs appropriate amendments to internal policies and standard documentations / contracts. 
    • Capital Market Transactions: Support and advise the organization in the negotiation and drafting of documentation to effect capital raising activities in the international capital and money markets, and draft or review all legal documents required for the implementation of the 
    • Legal Vehicles: Draft and review legal documents concerning the creation of corporate trust funds and Special Purpose Vehicles, with the dual aim of both securing the obligations of the SPV, as well as insulating the organization from the financial and legal risks from these vehicles.
