    Director of Programs (D.O.P)

    • We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Director of  Programme (DOP) to join our team.
    • As a Director of  Programme (DOP), you will play a vital role in advancing our mission.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Initiating and setting goals for programs according to the strategic objectives of the   organization
    • Planning the programs from start to completion involving deadlines, milestones and processes
    • Developing or approving budgets and operations

    QUALIFICATION

    Mandatory:

    • At least two years NGO experience as a Program Manager/Director of Program or experience in Project Management.
    • Good knowledge, experience and expertise in CSO movement building and nertworking
    • Experience working with Key populations or Sexual minority groups
    • Good contextual, analytical, writing and oral communication skills.
    • Team leadership and team playing qualities/experience.
    • Computer literacy skills, especially the use of word processing, Excel and power point, etc.
    • A passion for social change with interest in the field of gender equality, human rights, SOGIESC, social justice, and civic engagement.
    • Exceptional professionalism, follow-through and people skills.
    • Personal qualities of humility, capacity for self-reflection, and/or a sense of humor is a plus.
    • Availability to travel within and outside Nigeria.

    Finance Manager

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Supervise and mentor AIHI finance Officers, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
    • Conduct regular performance reviews and professional development initiatives.
    • Identify and assess financial risks and implement appropriate measures to mitigate them.
    • Develop and maintain an effective internal control environment.
    • Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and support decision-making.
    • Communicate financial information to the Executive Director, Board of Directors and other stakeholders.
    • Utilize financial software and tools to streamline processes and enhance efficiency.
    • Stay abreast of technological advancements in financial management.

    Qualifications:

    Education:

    • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
    • Master Degree is an added advantage
    • Professional certification such as CPA, CMA, or ACCA is highly desirable.
    • Institute of Chartered Accountant of Nigeria (ICAN) is an added advantage

    Mandatory:

    Experience:

    • Minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in financial management, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
    • Experience in non-profit organizations orYoung and Vulnerable persons entities is an advantage.
    • Proven track record of successfully managing financial operations and budgets.

    Knowledge and Skills:

    • In-depth knowledge of financial regulations, QUICK-BOOK, accounting principles, and reporting standards.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Familiarity with Young and Vulnerable persons issues and a commitment to diversity and inclusion.
    • Proficient in financial software and Microsoft Office, especially Excel.

    Communication:

    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Ability to convey financial information to diverse stakeholders, including those without a financial background.
    • Collaborative and able to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

    Leadership:

    • Proven leadership and supervisory experience.
    • Ability to inspire and motivate a finance team towards achieving AIHI’s goals.

    Financial Management:

    • Develop and implement financial strategies, policies, and procedures.
    • Oversee the preparation of financial statements, reports, and budgets.
    • Monitor financial performance and provide strategic recommendations to the leadership team.

    Budgeting and Forecasting:

    • Lead the annual budgeting process and provide regular forecasts.
    • Collaborate with program managers to ensure alignment of budgets with AIHI goals.

    Compliance:

    • Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and reporting requirements.
    • Coordinate audits and provide necessary documentation to auditors.

    Grant Management:

    • Manage financial aspects of grants, including budget development, reporting, and compliance.
    • Work closely with program managers to track grant expenditures and outcomes.

    Communication and Advocacy Officer

    Position Overview

    • The Communication and Advocacy Officer is responsible for developing and implementing effective communication strategies to enhance AIHI Nigeria’s visibility, reputation, and stakeholder engagement.
    • The ideal candidate will have a strong background in communication, public relations, and advocacy, with a demonstrated ability to create compelling content and engage diverse audiences.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Eligibility Criteria:

    Educational Background:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
    • Strong academic record.

    Experience

    • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in communication, public relations, or advocacy roles.
    • Proven track record of successful communication and advocacy campaigns.

    Understanding and Commitment:

    • Passionate about young and vulnerable persons rights and advocacy including the well being of Key Populations, Sexual and Gender Minority Group.
    • Demonstrate understanding of issues faced by the young and vulnerable persons community.
    • Commitment to promoting inclusivity and diversity.

    Communication Skills:

    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Proficiency in English is required; additional languages are a plus.
    • Ability to tailor communication to diverse audiences.

    Communication Strategy:

    • ·Develop and implement comprehensive communication strategies aligned with organizational goals and inline with our context and environment.
    • Identify key messages and themes to effectively communicate the organization’s mission and values.
    • Ensure consistency in messaging across all communication channels.

    Content Creation:

    • Create high-quality, engaging content for various platforms, including press releases, social media, website, and newsletters.
    •  Develop and maintain a content calendar to ensure timely and relevant communication.
    • Collaborate with internal teams to gather information and insights for content creation.

    Media Relations:

    • Cultivate and maintain relationships with media outlets, journalists, and influencers.
    • Write and distribute press releases, pitches, and media kits to secure media coverage.
    • Monitor media coverage and prepare reports on the organization’s media presence.

    Stakeholder Engagement:

    • Identify and engage with key stakeholders, including donors, partners, and community members.
    • Develop and implement strategies to enhance relationships with stakeholders.
    • Organize events and initiatives to foster positive relationships with the community.

    Advocacy Campaigns:

    • Plan and execute advocacy campaigns to promote the organization’s mission and goals.
    • Mobilize supporters and stakeholders to participate in advocacy initiatives.
    • Monitor legislative and policy developments relevant to the organization’s work.

    Networking:

    • Demonstrate ability to build and maintain relationships with media professionals, stakeholders, and community members.

    Technology Proficiency:

    • Proficient in using communication tools, social media platforms, and content management systems.

    Creativity:

    •  Ability to think creatively and develop innovative communication strategies.

    Adaptability:

    •  Comfortable adapting to changing priorities and able to thrive in a dynamic environment.

    Reporting:

    • Provide regular updates on communication activities.
    • Analyze metrics to assess the impact of communication efforts.

    Training and Awareness:

    • Participate in training programs to enhance skills and knowledge.
    • Contribute to internal and external awareness campaigns.
