Job Description

• Daily sales reconciliations reports for the outlets
• Reconciliations of transactions of delivery partners (Jumia, Oyanow, Gshop, bolt etc) Reconciliations of POS and other payment channels(PAYU & RAVE transactions) Daily update of FETS and PAGA remittance to ascertain running balance and un-remitted funds
• Non-Routine (Spot Checks & Inventory);
• Support in month end and annual inventory counts as needed
• Spot checks in the stores to prevent fraud and theft
• Ensuring POS paper rolls and printer rolls inventory does not go out of stock.
• Book-keeping/Accounting;
• Upload of bank transactions from bank statements into SAGE
• Monthly bank reconciliations ensuring balance per bank statement and GL agrees
• Any other duty assigned by the finance manager or CFO.

Educational Qualifications/Experience:

• Accounting or any related field
• minimum experience be 2 years or more.

Job Summary

• You will be required to focus on computing and recording day-to-day financial calculations, ensuring compliance with accounting regulations, preparing taxes and checking financial records for errors.
• You are required to think analytically and mathematically
• Responsible for analysing trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments and obligations incurred to predict future revenues and expenses.
• Also you are organized, communicate clearly and have an attention to detail.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Preparing accounts and tax returns
• Monitoring spending and budgets and Preparing budget forecasts
• Auditing and analysing financial performance
• Financial forecasting and risk analysis
• Advising on how to reduce costs and increase profits
• Compiling and presenting financial and budget reports
• Ensure that financial statements and records comply with laws and regulations
• Keeping account books and systems up to date.
• Publish financial statements in time
• Handle monthly, quarterly and annual closings
• Reconcile accounts payable and receivable
• Ensure timely bank payments
• Compute taxes and prepare tax returns
• Manage balance sheets and profit/loss statements
• Report on the company’s financial health and liquidity
• Audit financial transactions and documents
• Reinforce financial data confidentiality and conduct database backups when necessary
• Prepare asset, liability and capital account entries by compiling and analysing account information
• Produce error-free accounting reports and present their results

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in the relevant Engineering discipline or similar.
• Atleast 5 years working experience in a similar position
• Additional certification or license may be required.
• Experience in a similar technical role recommended
• Experience working as part of a team in a construction company is an added advantage
• Excellent attention to detail, communication skills, and,problem-solving skills.
• Candidate should possess working knowledge of compressors and forklifts
