    Estate Surveyors and Valuer

    Job Summary

    The Opportunity

    • We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Estate Surveyor and Valuer to join our dynamic real estate team in Lekki, Lagos. The ideal candidate will deliver expert property valuation, management, and advisory services — providing clients with accurate, ethical, and strategic guidance across all facets of the Nigerian real estate landscape.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Conduct comprehensive property valuations for residential, commercial, and industrial assets in line with NIESV/ESVARBON standards
    • Prepare clear, data-driven valuation reports, feasibility studies, and market analysis documents
    • Carry out physical property inspections, due diligence, and data collection for accurate assessments
    • Advise clients on property investment opportunities, sales strategies, leasing terms, and portfolio optimisation
    • Support end-to-end property management activities, including tenant relations, maintenance coordination, and documentation
    • Monitor Lekki, Lagos Island, and broader Nigerian real estate trends, regulatory updates, and emerging market dynamics
    • Collaborate effectively with clients, developers, real estate agents, legal teams, and government agencies
    • Ensure all activities comply with Nigerian property laws, professional ethics, and industry best practices

    Scope of work

    • Valuation Services: Deliver accurate and defensible valuations for mortgage purposes, acquisition and disposal, insurance, litigation, compulsory acquisition, and investment analysis across residential, commercial, and industrial property classes
    • Advisory & Consultancy: Provide strategic real estate advisory services to individual, corporate, and institutional clients on property acquisition, divestment, leasing, and portfolio management
    • Property Management Support: Assist in the day-to-day management of assigned property portfolios, including rent reviews, service charge administration, lease renewals, and tenant liaison
    • Market Intelligence: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of property values, rental trends, and transactional activity across the Lekki corridor and Greater Lagos market
    • Documentation & Compliance: Ensure all valuation reports, agency agreements, and management documents are prepared in compliance with ESVARBON, NIESV, and applicable Nigerian property laws
    • Client Relationship Management: Build and sustain professional relationships with clients, financial institutions, legal practitioners, government agencies, and other relevant stakeholders

    Candidate Profile; What we are looking for

    • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Estate Management, Real Estate, Urban Planning, or a related discipline from a recognised institution
    • 2 – 3 years of proven experience in property valuation, real estate advisory, or property management
    • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical, negotiation, and interpersonal communication skills
    • Technology: Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with property valuation software is an added advantage
    • Communication: Excellent report writing, presentation, and client-facing capabilities
    • Market Knowledge: Deep understanding of Lagos property dynamics, land tenure systems, and local market drivers — particularly within the Lekki axis

    Preferred qualification:

    • Professional certification or registration with ESVARBON (Estate Surveyors and Valuers Registration Board of Nigeria) and/or membership in NIESV (Nigerian Institution of Estate Surveyors and Valuers)
    • RICS accreditation or knowledge of International Valuation Standards (IVS) is a strong advantage
    • Experience working with institutional clients, REITs, or property development firms.
