    Energy Manager

    Job Summary 

    • We seeks to engage a highly competent and experienced Energy Manager.

    Responsibilities

    • Responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring strategies to optimize energy usage, reduce operational costs, and drive sustainability across all our facilities.
    • Lead our transition to cleaner energy while ensuring uninterrupted power supply for critical operations and events.
    • Conduct comprehensive energy audits and analyze consumption patterns across OOPL facilities.
    • Develop and implement energy conservation and cost-reduction initiatives to achieve measurable savings.
    • Oversee the operation and maintenance of generators, HVAC systems, chillers, and renewable energy installations.
    • Manage and lead solar/inverter projects and manage relationships with utility providers including IBEDC
    • Ensure compliance with national energy regulations, NESREA guidelines, and ISO 50001 standards
    • Prepare monthly energy performance reports and budget forecasts data for Management.
    • Train staff on energy efficiency practices and develop SOPs for energy management

    Requirements

    • B.Eng in Electrical, Mechanical, or Energy Engineering. Professional certification
    • COREN registration mandatory. CEM – Certified Energy Manager is a strong advantage
    • Minimum of 7 years relevant experience in energy management, preferably in large organisation
    • Sound knowledge of Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission codes and energy efficiency laws.
    • Strong analytical and data interpretation skills with proficiency in Excel and energy monitoring tools
    • Excellent project management and vendor negotiation skills
    • Ability to work under pressure during major events and resolve power-related issues promptly.
    • High level of integrity, innovation, and attention to detail.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
