Job Description

• An Electrical Maintenance Technician is responsible for completing routine and emergency electrical repairs to electrical components and units in facilities, buildings, etc.

Responsibilities

• The Electrical Maintenance Technician should have a good knowledge of company policies and other statutory requirements with respect to electrical maintenance as well as safety.

The job entails the following duties and responsibilities:

• Carry out routine inspections , checks, and maintenance
• Ensuring that the site is kept clean.
• Ensuring that unauthorised persons do not go near the equipment while being maintained
• Report any issues encountered, such as defects or damages.

• Inspecting and troubleshooting problems and issues reported by truck drivers and plant operators
• Maintaining vehicles, tools, and equipment required to perform the role effectively
• Following a maintenance schedule to ensure that all routine tasks are completed

• Installing, maintaining, modifying, and repairing all electrical systems in public spaces and buildings
• Ensuring that electrical systems adhere to the national electrical safety standards and regulations
• Supervising ongoing electrical system installations and providing technical expertise to installation teams where needed
• Using blueprints, wiring diagrams, and manufacturer’s installation manuals to complete projects
• Completing work orders and recording materials that are used on the job
• Identifying electrical problems and repairing them
• Advising the company’s management when to replace aged electrical equipment to prevent hazards
• Conducting general electrical systems maintenance and troubleshooting electrical issues with testing equipment
• It is crucial that the technician follows strict safety and security measures at all times.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate should possess:

• A minimum of five (5) years experience,
• High School Diploma (OND or HND) in Electrical Engineering and a relevant license and certification
• Trade Test with 10 years past experience in a similar role.

• A Hiab crane truck also known as a boom truck or self-loader is jan equipment that is used to load and transport materials, equipment and other items from one location to another, mostly from the project base to project site or within the project site.

Responsibilities 

• Operating the equipment safely.
• Carry out routine inspections , checks, and maintenance
• Ensuring that the site is kept clean.
• Ensuring that unauthorised persons do not go near the equipment while in operation.
• Ensuring that the equipment is turned off when not in use.
• Report any issues encountered, such as defects or damages.
• Not exceeding the Safe Working Load of the Hiab Crane while lifting
• Transport goods or raw materials from a designated pick-up location to a designated drop-off location
• Assess and plan the route that needs to be taken to ensure timely delivery
• Ensure that the vehicle is in good shape, inspect the mechanics, and identify any necessary maintenance work
• Maneuver the vehicle through challenging and sometimes close-fitting spaces to load or unload the goods
• Report any issues encountered, such as defects, scratches, or accidents
• Comply with delivery instructions
• Perform any light maintenance such as refueling and cleaning the truck
• Carrying out other functions as may be assigned by the site supervisor or manager
• It is crucial that the operator follows strict safety and security measures at all timeasuresm

Qualifications
