Responsibilities
Generic Responsibilities:
- Support day-to-day implementation of education project activities across target locations, ensuring activities are delivered according to workplans and timelines.
- Conduct regular field visits to monitor project implementation, identify challenges, and provide timely feedback to the Project Officer.
- Assist in organising trainings, workshops, meetings and community engagement sessions, including participant mobilisation and logistical arrangements.
- Assist in coordinating learning activities in schools, Temporary Learning Spaces (TLS), and community-based education centres.

Asset Management
- Maintaining up-to-date control of all assets including tracking donor, value, and location, managing staff issue, and recording all asset movements and disposals

- Update asset register and send to country office every month in the absence of the asset’s focal person
Warehousing Management
- Will only provide supportive role in the absence of area warehouse staff.
- Manage and maintain the physical warehouse.

- Ensure random spot check on stock in the warehouse
- Ensure all program stock are released through NRC stock release/requisition form and accompanied with a waybill to Beneficiaries/point of usage.

Job Description
- NRC has been present in Nigeria since 2015 and has been working to help displacement-affected communities meet their basic needs, improve their livelihoods, access essential services, and enhance their resilience to future shocks through our six core competencies: water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH), Shelter, Education, Information-Counselling and Legal Assistance (ICLA), Livelihoods and Food Security (LFS), Camp Management, and Protection. NRC provides immediate assistance during the onset of emergencies through the rapid response mechanism (RRM). With a workforce of 370 staff and a presence in key locations such as Maiduguri (in Borno State), Yola (in Adamawa State) and Jos (in Plateau State), NRC can respond to the needs of those affected by the conflict across North-East, and North Central Nigeria.

- If you are those people, the Norwegian Refugee Council in Nigeria is looking for an enthusiastic and passionate Driver to join our team in Maiduguri, Borno State. You will be responsible for safely transporting NRC staff/visitors and equipment/materials to approved destinations in the NRC Area North office.
Responsibilities

Specific Responsibilities
- The driver shall strictly follow the Nigerian traffic law, rules and speed limits and shall drive in a safe and defensive manner.
- In the event of an accident, the driver shall ensure that all steps, rules and regulations are followed, including filling in the incident report.
- The driver is responsible for cleaning and performing the daily check on the vehicle and shall ensure that it is in a safe running condition. He/she is also responsible for checking the oil level, water level, batteries, brakes, tyres, etc; and that the vehicle is at all times equipped with a first aid kit, a good spare tyre and all prescribed tools and equipment. He/she will report promptly and in writing to NRC is some tools are missing.
- The driver is responsible for logging in (on the logbook) all trips and ensuring that other drivers that may use the vehicle do the same.
- The driver should ensure that the fuel tanks as a rule should always be completely full, if possible, and the quantity of litres dispensed should be properly recorded in the logbook.
- The driver shall ensure that all required licenses, insurance cards and vehicle permits are valid and available in the vehicle including accident reports. He/she must also ensure that own driving license and other relevant driving papers are up to date.
- The driver shall follow the instructions provided in the NRC’s Driver Manual.
- The driver is responsible for performing minor repairs if needed while major repairs should be reported to the supervisor before planning.
- Ensure the assigned vehicle is always in good working condition and meets NRC safety and security standards
- Be flexible to work any shift during the 24 hrs day i.e. 08.00 a.m to 4.30p.m; 4.00p.m to 12.00 a.m; 12.00 a.m to 08.00 a.m including weekends and public holidays.
