    Drill Locator (Skilled) - HDD Operations

    Role Description

    • The Drill Locator (Skilled) - HDD Operations is an on-site, full-time role based in Lagos. The role involves operating and managing horizontal directional drilling equipment for construction and maintenance activities. The Drill Locator is responsible for planning, tracking, and guiding drill paths during Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD) operations to ensure accurate underground utility installation while preventing damage to existing infrastructure.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Plan and prepare HDD bore routes using project drawings and utility maps.
    • Set up and calibrate HDD locating and tracking equipment.
    • Monitor drill head location and provide real-time guidance to drill operators.
    • Identify and avoid underground utilities and third-party infrastructure.
    • Troubleshoot drilling challenges and recommend corrective actions.
    • Maintain accurate drilling records, reports, and quality assurance documentation.

    Requirements

    • SSCE or HND/B.Sc. in Engineering, Telecommunications, Applied Sciences, or related field.
    • Minimum of 2 years' experience as a Drill Locator in HDD operations.
    • Proficiency in HDD locating equipment and utility detection systems.
    • Ability to interpret technical drawings and utility maps.
    • Strong communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
    • Knowledge of HSE standards and underground utility installation practices.

    Head of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)

    What You’ll Lead & Deliver

    • Full ownership of annual budgets, rolling forecasts, long-range plans, and scenario modelling
    • Monthly and quarterly performance deep-dives, with clear variance narratives and actionable insights
    • Executive-ready dashboards and profitability analysis by product, project, and customer segment
    • Cost optimization initiatives with measurable bottom-line impact
    • Capital allocation, pricing strategy, investment appraisals, and ROI tracking
    • Automation and continuous upgrade of the FP&A tech stack (Power BI, Anaplan, advanced ERP modules)
    • Build and lead a high-performing FP&A team that thinks like business owners—not spreadsheet operators

    You MUST Already Have

    • Chartered Accountant qualification (ICAN / ACA / ACCA) and a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics
    • 8–10+ years of progressive experience in FP&A, strategic finance, or corporate finance
    • A proven track record from Banking, Investment Management, Big 4 Transaction Services, or high-growth Telecom / Tech
    • Advanced financial modelling and Excel mastery (you’re still hands-on when it matters)
    • Deep experience working with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Dynamics) and modern BI tools
    • The ability to turn complex financial data into clear, board-level narratives
    • Strong influencing skills across finance, sales, operations, and executive leadership

    Strong Advantage if you have:

    • MBA or MSc in Finance, Strategy, or a related field
    • Direct telecom or infrastructure experience
