Responsibilities
- The Director of Works and Maintenance is responsible to the Vice-Chancellor for the day-to-day running of the Directorate.
- He is also responsible for day-to-day physical/infrastructural facilities management and maintenance in the University.
- He is also responsible for the supervision and ensuring quality standards/maintenance, and servicing of physical structures in the University.
- The Director will be responsible for keeping all inventory of all University properties and their maintenance, security and upkeep.
- He should carry out any other responsibilities as may be assigned by the Vice Chancellor.
Qualifications and Experience
- Candidates must possess a good honours Degree not below Second-Class Lower Division in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Electrical / Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Urban and Regional Planning, Quantity Surveying, Building or any relevant degree from a recognize institution.
- Possession of a higher degree in a relevant field would be an added advantage.
- Be a member of an appropriate professional body with a current practicing license, as well as a minimum of fifteen (15) years post-qualification work experience and must have attained the rank of a Deputy Director or its equivalent from a university system.

Summary
- Such a person that will hold the position of Chief Security Officer must be able to effectively coordinate the Security Architecture of a University.
Responsibilities
- Handle security matters in a student environment
- Recommend on the recruitment of security officers and the discipline of erring Officers
- Supervise and manage security personal of the University
- Liaise with security agencies and law enforcement bodies for the protection of lives and properties on both Campuses of the University
- Coordinate security personnel of the University on intelligence gathering within outside the premises of the University Campuses
- Engage with the security guards and personnel of host communities towards the security of the University Formulate security policies for the consideration of the University Management
- Ensure that adequate security measure are in place to mitigate against threats to the security of members of the University Community
- Formulate and implement ideas for the development and enhancement of the University's security architecture.
Requirements / Qualifications
The Prospective Appointee must possess the following qualifications:
- A good Honours degree, in the Humanities or Social Science, not below Second Class Lower Division from a reputable University OR a Higher National Diploma (HND), in any discipline relating to the Humanities or Social Sciences, not below the grade of Lower Credit from a reputable Institution
- A Master's degree in any of the aforementioned disciplines will be an added advantage
- Ten (10) years cognate experience, out of which Three (3) would be on the grade of Assistant Chief Security Officer
- An Ex-serviceman not below the rank of Chief Superintendent of Police or its equivalent in the Armed Forces
- Unblemished character and must be of high moral standard, including being a person of high integrity and ethical conduct.
- Knowledge of ICT and evidence of use is required

Responsibilities
- The Registrar is a Principal Officer and as the Chief Administrative Officer of the University is responsible to the Vice-Chancellor for the day-to-day administration of the University.
- He/she shall perform such other duties as the Council and the Vice-Chancellor may from time to time require him/her to do.
- He/She shall be the Secretary to the Governing Council, the Senate and any other statutory committees.
- He/She must be dedicated and loyal to the institution through the Council in the discharge of his/her duties.
Qualifications and Experience
- Candidate must possess good honours Degree not below Second-Class Lower Division in Arts and Humanities from a recognized University as well as recognized professional qualifications, such as NIM, NIPR, ANUPA etc.
- The candidate must have not less than fifteen (15) years cognate post- qualification experience, preferably in a university or comparable institution, and must be holding at least the position of Deputy Registrar in the University.
- He/she must also be compliant with Information and Communication Technology (ICT) and be able to command respect and to carry colleagues along. The possession of higher degree(s) would be an added advantage.
- The candidate must not be more than sixty (60) years at the time of assumption of duty.
Qualities:
- He/she must demonstrate versatility in the management of staff and students in a tertiary institution

- He/She must be a person of proven integrity, intellectually sound, professionally skilled, and knowledgeable in the Rules and Regulations of the University System.
- He/She must also be well-versed in Public Service Rules, Financial Regulations and Computer applications.

- He/She must be a person who is not likely to exhibit racial, ethnic, political, religious or other sectional sentiments in the discharge of his/her duties.
