    Data Engineer

    About the Role

    • We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer to join our growing data team.
    • The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in building and optimizing data pipelines, managing large-scale data integration, and working with Microsoft’s modern data stack (Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory, Synapse, Power BI, etc.).
    • You will play a key role in designing, implementing, and supporting data solutions that power analytics, reporting, and business decision-making.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Data Pipeline Development:
      • Design, build, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines for batch and real-time data.
      • Develop parameterized and reusable pipelines using Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory, or Synapse Pipelines.
      • Optimize large-scale data ingestion and transformation processes using Databricks, PySpark, SQL, and Dataflows.
    • Data Integration & Migration:
      • Work on data migration projects, moving workloads from on-premises to Azure Cloud or Microsoft Fabric.
      • Integrate data from multiple sources (databases, APIs, Event Hubs, third-party systems, etc.).
      • Implement data partitioning, chunking, and metadata-driven approaches for performance optimization.
    • Data Modeling & Storage:
      • Design and maintain Lakehouse, Data Warehouse, and Delta Lake structures.
      • Build and manage semantic models for reporting with Power BI.
      • Collaborate with analysts and business stakeholders to create efficient data models supporting analytics use cases.
    • Governance, Security & Compliance:
      • Ensure proper data governance, lineage, and cataloging using Microsoft Purview.
      • Manage access and security via Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), roles, and service principals.
      • Implement best practices for data quality, integrity, and compliance with organizational and industry standards.
    • Collaboration & Documentation:
      • Work closely with data analysts, BI developers, and business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
      • Document technical designs, processes, and best practices for maintainability.
      • Contribute to knowledge sharing and mentoring within the data team.
    • Key Skills & Qualifications
      • Qualification: Bachelor's Degree.
      • Professional Skills:
        • 4+ years of proven experience in a Data Engineering role (or similar).
        • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to optimize data processes.
        • Excellent communication and ability to translate technical solutions into business language.
        • Experience in client-facing or cross-functional roles is an advantage.
        • Relevant Microsoft certifications is a plus
      • Technical Skills:
        • Strong experience with Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory, Synapse Analytics, and Power BI.
        • Proficiency in SQL (T-SQL, query optimization, stored procedures).
        • Experience with PySpark, Python, or Databricks-like environments for big data processing.
        • Knowledge of data modeling (star schema, data vault, dimensional modeling).
        • Familiarity with real-time streaming (Event Hubs, Kafka, Service Bus, or similar).
        • Experience with data governance tools (e.g., Microsoft Purview).
        • Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines, Git, and DevOps practices.

    Lead, Community & Operations

    Responsibilities

    • Maintain a clean and orderly office environment, ensuring that all utilities are properly maintained and in optimal condition.
    • Collaborate with relevant teams to ensure that new resources are onboarded with the necessary tools to perform their duties. Coordinate sitting arrangements for new hire, laptop onboarding & off-boarding process.
    • Drive people experience initiatives to enhance community wellness. Oversee office rebranding projects, Plan and execute internal /external staff events, coordinate event surveys, retreat, team bonding, birthday, work anniversaries, send forth etc.
    • Manage staff feedback programs for repairs, upgrades, utilities etc
    • Partner with the People & Culture Team to proactively resolve workplace issues and facilitate the effective execution of company policies and procedures. These initiatives are designed to improve employee experience and cultivate a positive, inclusive environment within the community.
    • Ensure all recurrent subscriptions, license renewals are paid on time, interface with service providers and compliance/regulatory bodies.
    • Monitor and manage operational workflows to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and compliance with company policies and industry standards.
    • Collect, analyze, and report on operational metrics to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement. Also, Analyze spending patterns, track procurement expenditures, and generate reports for management review and strategic planning.
    • Identify bottlenecks and implement solutions to streamline processes, reduce costs, and enhance productivity.
    • Collaborate with Finance Team to ensure that all company assets are in good working order and accounted for.
    • Track inventory levels, manage resources, and ensure timely availability of materials or tools required for operations.
    • Ensure all operations adhere to regulatory requirements, safety standards, and quality guidelines.
    • Maintain accurate records, prepare reports, and present findings to management to support decision-making.
    • Liaise with vendors, suppliers, or external partners to coordinate logistics and resolve operational issues.
    • Leverage software tools (e.g., ERP systems, CRMs, or project management platforms) to manage operations and track performance.
    • Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on quality, price, reliability, and service. Build and maintain robust supplier relationships to ensure business continuity and optimal value.
