    Cyber Transformation Lead (Alliance-Led)

    Job Summary

    • The Cyber Transformation Lead is an Associate director-level role accountable for converting KPMG's Microsoft Security and Cyber alliance pipeline into signed, delivering, revenue-generating engagements across Africa. This role combines senior client-facing presence with deep cybersecurity transformation expertise - owning the end-to-end pursuit and delivery of cybersecurity mandates including SOC deployments, IAM programmes, Zero Trust architectures, and cyber resilience frameworks. The role is a primary revenue contributor within Block A, personally accountable for alliance-attributed cyber revenue and acting as the senior KPMG face to Microsoft's security partner ecosystem.

    Key roles and responsibilities:

    Cyber Pipeline Conversion and Revenue Ownership (45%)

    • Own a personally accountable cyber revenue target within the T&I business, with primary attribution to Microsoft Security and Cyber alliance-originated opportunities.
    • Lead all major cyber transformation pursuits from client qualification through to contract signature, serving as the most senior technical and commercial voice in client meetings.
    • Develop and maintain relationships with Microsoft's security partner team, cloud solution architects, and alliance managers to maintain a healthy joint pipeline.
    • Shape complex cyber mandates - SOC buildouts, IAM transformations, Zero Trust programmes - into commercially viable, KPMG-deliverable propositions.
    • Collaborate with the Alliance Market Lead – Microsoft (Block D) to ensure all cyber pipeline is progressed with the appropriate commercial rigour and bid investment.

    Delivery Leadership (35%)

    • Lead the delivery of large-scale cybersecurity transformation programmes, including oversight of multi-disciplinary delivery teams, alliance partner resources, and specialist subcontractors.
    • Personally accountable for delivery quality, client satisfaction, and margin on all cyber mandates within the portfolio.
    • Enforce RAID discipline and escalation protocols on all engagements; intervene early on commercial or technical risk.
    • Maintain a library of KPMG-owned cyber delivery assets, methodologies, and accelerators - working with Block E to codify and scale these.
    • Represent KPMG T&I as the senior technical authority in client steering committees and executive project boards.

    Market and Alliance Development (20%)

    • Contribute to KPMG's cybersecurity thought leadership, publishing insights, speaking at industry events, and building KPMG's profile in the African cyber community.
    • Support the development of go-to-market propositions with Microsoft that differentiate KPMG in the African market.
    • Mentor and develop the cybersecurity capability within the broader T&I team, building delivery depth and technical credibility.
    • Contribute to the annual T&I planning process with pipeline forecasts, headcount recommendations, and market intelligence.

    Requirements

    Academic/ Professional qualifications and Experience:

    • Relevant degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Engineering, or a related technical field.
    • CISSP, CISM, or equivalent cybersecurity certification required.
    • Microsoft Security certifications (SC-100, SC-200 or equivalent) strongly preferred.
    • Minimum 12 years of experience in cybersecurity, with at least 5 years in a client-facing consulting or advisory role.
    • Proven experience delivering cybersecurity transformation programmes (SOC, IAM, Zero Trust, Cyber Resilience) for major enterprise or government clients in Africa.
    • Demonstrated track record of working within Microsoft's partner ecosystem to originate and deliver cyber solutions.

    Technical competencies & Personal attributes:

    • Deep technical authority in cybersecurity with the credibility to lead client conversations at CISO and Board level.
    • Alliance fluency: comfortable navigating Microsoft partner processes, co-sell motions, and alliance governance.
    • Commercial mindset: able to translate technical capability into commercially structured, margin-protected proposals.
    • Delivery ownership: personally comfortable owning large cyber programmes end-to-end, not just advising.
    • Communication and influence: able to articulate cyber risk and transformation priorities to non-technical executives.
    • Multicultural agility: able to operate across multiple African jurisdictions and client cultures.
    • Stakeholder management: provide support to various management and leadership levels, as well as work well independently.
    • Personal effectiveness - Excellent report-writing and presentation skills.

    Platform Transformation Lead (MS/SN/SAP/Oracle)

    Key roles and responsibilities:

    Platform Revenue and Pursuit Leadership (45%)

    • Own a personally accountable revenue target for platform transformation mandates, with attribution across Microsoft, ServiceNow, SAP, and Oracle alliance pipelines.
    • Lead the pursuit of large platform transformation deals - ERP modernisation, cloud migration, platform consolidation, ServiceNow enterprise deployments - from qualification to signature.
    • Serve as the senior KPMG technical and commercial authority in all platform-related client engagements and negotiations.
    • Maintain active relationships with platform alliance partner teams (Microsoft, ServiceNow, SAP, Oracle) to ensure KPMG is positioned for co-sell and referral opportunities.
    • Work with the Enterprise / Solution Architecture Leads (Block B) to ensure all platform proposals are technically sound and delivery-ready before contract signature.

    Delivery Ownership and Quality (35%)

    • Maintain ultimate accountability for delivery outcomes on platform transformation mandates within the portfolio, including client satisfaction, schedule adherence, and margin.
    • Lead multi-disciplinary delivery teams including KPMG consultants, alliance partner technical resources, and specialist subcontractors.
    • Enforce consistent delivery methodology, RAID discipline, and commercial governance on all platform engagements.
    • Escalation points for delivery risk, scope disputes, and commercial variations; authority to mobilise additional resources or change engagement structure where needed.
    • Collaborate with Block E (Enablement) to build and maintain reusable platform delivery accelerators, templates, and methodology assets.

    Alliance and Ecosystem Development (20%)

    • Actively manage KPMG's relationships with platform alliance partners, attending partner events, maintaining certifications, and participating in joint go-to-market planning.
    • Contribute to platform-specific thought leadership, including white papers, client briefings, and industry presentations.
    • Develop and grow the platform transformation capability within the T&I team, identifying skill gaps and supporting hiring and development decisions.
    • Represent KPMG T&I in alliance partner advisory councils, partner conferences, and ecosystem events.

    Requirements

    Academic/ Professional qualifications and Experience:

    • Relevant degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or Engineering.
    • Certification on at least one primary alliance platform (Microsoft Azure/M365, ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist, SAP S/4HANA, or Oracle Cloud) required.
    • Minimum 12 years of experience in enterprise platform consulting, with at least 5 years at Director or equivalent level.
    • Proven track record of delivering large-scale platform transformation programmes (ERP, cloud, ITSM) for enterprise or government clients in Africa.
    • Experience managing alliance partner relationships in a revenue-generating context.
    • Proficiency in English; French an advantage.

    Technical competencies & Personal attributes:

    Demonstrate and articulate KPMG values as well as proven capability in:
