    Cyber Security Engineer

    Department: Risk Management & Control

    Job Objective

    • The successful candidate will join the Information Security team in providing expertise to support the planning, implementation, management, monitoring and upgrading of security measures for the protection of the company’s data, systems and networks.
    • The candidate will support the team in maintaining the company’s Information Security and Business Continuity Management Systems, and adoption of related regulations and frameworks.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Actively participate/collaborate in solutions and systems design/redesign to address cybersecurity risks and threats, and ensure compliance to security policy, procedures, standards and baseline security configurations.
    • Understand the network and security topology of the company.
    • Support implementation /administration of network security hardware and software.
    • Support administration/management/maintenance of the next generation firewalls (NGFW), intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), identity security engine (ISE), network access control (NAC), and the perimeter security system devices.
    • Support maintenance/configuration branch security solutions e.g. IPSEC, Site-to-Site VPN, etc.
    • Support security risk assessment of network and infrastructure; including vulnerability analysis, threat intelligence and remediation planning.
    • Monitor the enterprise network for security threats and unauthorized user access.
    • Monitor all the network security zones for uptime.
    • Troubleshooting security and network problems.
    • Build security components test and laboratory environment.
    • Participate in incident response and triage. Prompt assessment of security incidents and communication of course of action.
    • Maintain firewalls, storage, web protocols, endpoint, virtualization and email security.
    • Develop/optimize processes to improve security threat identification, remediation and intelligence
    • Assist in Disaster Recovery exercises to ensure no breaches during recovery.
    • Prepare monthly security status reports regarding threats and breaches.
    • Circulate quarterly security awareness to business and educate users on computer security.
    • Ensure implemented projects meet best practice security guidelines.
    • Support other security solutions e.g. single sign-on, two-factor authentication.
    • Conduct compliance hardening assessments of applications, servers, systems, and network devices.
    • Support/follow through on Security Vulnerability assessment and Penetration testing recommendations.
    • Testing and identifying network/system vulnerabilities, ensuring that noted vulnerabilities are addressed.
    • Conduct periodic internal vulnerability assessment testing.
    • Keep up to date with evolving information/cyber security threats, methods and developments.
    • Carry out other tasks as assigned by the CISO.

    Requirements
    Education / Professional Qualification:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or related STEM discipline (Second Class Upper division)
    • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
    • Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH).
    • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA).
    • Cisco Certified Security Professional (CCSP)
    • Other Information security certifications.

    Experience:

    • Minimum of 5 years cognate experience in financial services/service-oriented industry administering information and cyber security (including systems and network security, Identity and Access Management, Security Incident Response, Threat and vulnerability Management, End-point Security, Storage and Virtualization Security).
    • Security administration – Firewalls, switches, routers, SIEM, Anti-Malware, Active Directory, IDS/IPS, NAC, Privileged Access Management, HIPS, cryptography, log collection and correlation, and DLP solution.

    Key Competency Requirements:

    • Knowledge of security best practice guidelines (ISO 27001, etc), information security principles and cyber security operations
    • Security incident and threat management
    • Advanced firewall configuration experience.
    • Security devices configurations, i.e. Cisco Identity Security Engine
    • TCP/IP networking, including IP address schemes
    • Network security analysis tools
    • LAN & WAN technologies.
    • Understand Cisco IOS configurations
    • IAM and Solutions.
    • Hands on experience with security devices i.e. firewalls, IDSIPS appliances & software, ISE, Office 365 Security and Endpoint Security
    • Ability to execute and support security tools such as DLP, Encryption and SIEM.

    Capital Markets Associate

    Department: Investment Banking

    Job Objective

    • To provide cross departmental support on all deliverables and assist in the tasks being undertaken by deal teams.
    • The position also includes providing general support on all administrative tasks to ensure the department grows into becoming and maintaining a leading position in the Nigerian Capital Markets (“CM”) space.
    • The job holder is expected to also utilize the various CM products and activities as an avenue for cross-selling / securing a range of ancillary business for the company.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Identifying opportunities to provide CM solutions to local, regional and international existing and new customers
    • Assisting in pitching opportunities (in coordination with CCB), securing and executing CM mandates in Nigeria.
    • Developing a keen understanding of all regulations affecting CM in Nigeria and building relationships with relevant regulatory bodies
    • Assisting in developing and monitoring budgets for the CM department, but specifically those transactions which the associate is responsible for
    • Assisting in ensuring that relevant CM experience gained from our various activities (i.e., infrastructure, real estate, Power, Oil & Gas, Telecoms and Media) are fed into an overall database for the CM unit
    • Staying abreast of new developments in the CM space, globally, regionally and in the local market
    • Assisting in developing Capital Markets mandates for identified opportunities
    • Reviewing, adapting manipulation and building excel spreadsheets and other comprehensive financial models for CM transactions including valuation models
    • Providing support to other team members as and when required
    • Assisting in preparing and developing of the department’s annual budgets
    • Ensuring all requisite administration and filing matters for the CM department are up to date.
    • Assisting in responding in a timely manner to market leads received from either CCB, subsidiaries of FBN Holdings or the external market
    • Assisting and contributing to formulating innovative financing solutions to clients, other departments and First Bank
    • Responding to client correspondence/contacts/relationships from an office management perspective
    • Working alongside CCB and staff across FBN Holdings in delivering CM pitches to clients.
    • Provide ad-hoc support jointly with CM team members (on an ongoing basis) to relevant areas of the company, First Bank and FBN Holdings for achieving overall coverage for ancillary business
    • Preparing and distributing client Call Reports in a timely manner
    • Perform calls (jointly with CCB) to existing and potential customers for marketing pitches and following up on pending documentation from live advisory mandates
    • Undertaking “market-scan” jointly with CCB department to identify target customers both locally and within the region to establish basis for potential business
    • Undertaking financial analysis of company / projects and financial statements and preparing brief internal reports based on findings
    • Undertake the completion of project deliverables (i.e. Information Memoranda, Project Timetable, Financial Models, Valuation Models Term Sheets, etc.)
    • Prepare and review internal memos and any supporting Capital Markets proposals for all mandates.
    • Ensuring Work-In-Progress Reports (ELCO papers, presentations, Monthly Performance Highlights, and Board reports) are submitted as and when required
    • Prepare transaction summaries, identifying key follow-up and monitoring steps after transaction closing for the benefit of other business groups
    • Provide support during negotiations with potential investors on transactions and other project parties.
    • Ensure the department’s client and other administrative files (executed mandate letters, invoices, due diligence reports, term sheets, consultants report etc.) are fully up to date and readily available for any internal and or external audits as and when required and to discuss, respond and react to comments raised by the audit / risk / financial control departments
    • Assist in any co-ordination / ongoing contact with Chief Risk Officer in connection with existing transactions, obtaining guidance for risk management approvals process and assist in the co-ordination and delivery of customer documents at transaction closing
    • Provide support and input in the preparation of the CM business plan in a timely manner prior to the end of each calendar year and to assist in ensuring its execution.

    Requirements
    Education / Professional Qualification:

    • Bachelor’s Degree (Second Class Upper division) in a Finance / Business / Economics related course
    • Master’s Degree or an MBA in a finance, business, economics or a related discipline (or a finance related professional qualification) would be a major advantage.

    Experience:

    • About 8 years investment banking specific experience, preferably having hands-on experience in financial modelling, pitching, originating, structuring, regulatory engagements, executing, negotiating, and closing transactions across a range of sectors.
    • Good understanding of the dynamics of the Nigerian and international capital markets, across most key sectors – power, infrastructure, telecoms, oil & gas, FMCG, real estate, and to a lesser extent mining and metals.

    Key Competency Requirements:

    • Sound economics and business acumen
    • Team player with strong interpersonal skills
    • Must possess robust analytical skills
    • Dexterity/capacity to execute a minimum of at least four transactions at any time and at any stage of the execution process

    Financial Advisory Analyst / Associate

    Job Objective

    • Responsible for supporting the team in executing mergers and acquisitions and restructuring transactions.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Collate and analyze relevant financial and non-financial information from clients and various sources to support a potential or ongoing transaction
    • Identify and determine feasibility of possible mergers and acquisitions, privatization projects and contribute to negotiations
    • Prepare and / or analyze business plans and articulate clients’ business objectives for the purpose of presenting in the context of buy-side or sell-side discussions with counter-parties.
    • Prepare advanced financial models in the context of M&As, leveraged buy-outs, restructurings, recapitalizations and independent valuation opinions.
    • Conduct detailed financial and commercial due diligence to support M&As, restructurings and recapitalization transactions

    Requirements
    Education / Professional Qualification:

    • Master’s Degree and/or Professional Qualification (ACA, ACCA, CFA) will be an added advantage.

    Experience:

    • About 5 years of core investment banking and financial advisory experience in a leading investment bank
    • Experience with an international investment bank will be an added advantage
    • Experience in Oil & Gas and/or Power sector will be an advantaged client database ensuring that clients are updated on products, information, and investment opportunities.
