Quality Assurance Team Lead (Preform) at Seven Up Bottling Company

We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Quality Assurance Team Lead – Preforms to join our Manufacturing Team. This role is critical in ensuring the consistent quality of preforms used in our beverage production processes.

Job Summary

The Quality Assurance Team Lead – Preforms will be responsible for overseeing all quality assurance activities related to preform production. The role ensures adherence to quality standards, regulatory requirements, and internal specifications, while driving continuous improvement within the preform manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities

Quality Control & Assurance

• Lead and supervise QA activities within the preform production line.
• Conduct routine inspections, testing, and sampling of preforms to ensure compliance with internal and external quality standards.
• Ensure adherence to GMP, GHK, HACCP, ISO standards, and other regulatory requirements.
• Review and approve technical specifications for raw materials and finished preforms.

Process Monitoring & Improvement

• Monitor process parameters, equipment performance, and product quality to ensure consistency.
• Identify quality gaps, root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Champion continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and reduce waste.

Team Leadership & Coordination

• Supervise QA inspectors and coordinate daily testing operations.
• Provide coaching, performance feedback, and ensure team members follow SOPs and safety guidelines.
• Collaborate with Production, Engineering, and Maintenance teams to resolve quality-related issues.

Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date quality documentation, including quality reports, deviation logs, test records, and compliance trackers.
• Prepare and present daily, weekly, and monthly QA performance reports.
• Ensure proper documentation for audits and regulatory inspections.

Audit & Compliance

• Lead internal quality audits in the preform production area.
• Support external audits and ensure timely closure of audit observations.
• Drive compliance with food safety, quality standards, and operational excellence requirements.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Industrial Chemistry, Microbiology, Polymer Science, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of 4–6 years experience in Quality Assurance/Quality Control within manufacturing (preferably plastics, PET preforms, or FMCG).
• Strong understanding of preform production processes, PET polymer behavior, and injection molding technology.
• Experience in ISO-certified environments and familiarity with HACCP, GMP, and GHK standards.
• Experience supervising a QA/QC team.
