    Credit / Marketing Officer

    Job Description

    • Market and solicit deposits for the bank
    • Continuously market the banks’ products
    • Evaluate credit worthiness by processing loan applications and documentation within specified limits
    • Interview applicants to determine financial eligibility and feasibility for granting loans
    • Determine all applicable ratios and metrics and set up debt payment plans
    • Communicate with clients either to request or to provide information
    • Justify decisions (approvals/rejections) and report on them
    • Complete loan contracts and counsel clients on policies and restrictions
    • Update knowledge on types of loans and other financial services
    • Maintain and update account records and credit files
    • Develop referral networks, suggest alternate channels and cross-sell products and services to accomplish targets
    • Go the “extra mile” to build trust relationships, customer loyalty and satisfaction
    • Operate in compliance with laws and regulations and adhere to lending policies and guidelines

    Requirements

    • OND, NCE or B.Sc. or its equivalent preferably in the Social Sciences
    • A minimum of 3 years post-graduation experience in credit and marketing in the financial service industry
    • Proven track record in meeting and exceeding marketing targets
    • Exceptional interpersonal skills
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Adequate computer skills – MS Office, Excel, etc.

    Head, Accounts

    Job Description

    • Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department including:
      • Month and end-year process
      • Accounts payable/receivable
      • Cash receipts
      • General ledger
      • Payroll and utilities
      • Treasury, budgeting
      • Cash forecasting
      • Revenue and expenditure variance analysis
      • Capital assets reconciliations
      • Cheque processing
      • Fixed asset activity
      • Debt activity
    • Monitor and analyze accounting data and produce financial reports or statements
    • Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies and principles
    • Coordinate and complete annual audits
    • Provide recommendations
    • Improve systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions
    • Assign projects and direct staff to ensure compliance and accuracy
    • Meet financial accounting objectives
    • Establish and maintain fiscal files and records to document transactions.

    Job Requirements

    • B.Sc. in Accounting or its equivalent
    • A minimum of 8 years post-graduation experience while 5 years must be in financial service industry
    • Qualified member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants (ICAN) - ACA
    • Additional qualification in a business related area will be an advantage
    • Proven work experience as Accounting Manager, Accounting Supervisor or Finance Manager
    • Computer skills of MS Office, Excel, Accounting Software, etc.
    • Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, law and regulation.
    • High attention to details and accuracy
    • Ability to direct and supervise staff

    Head, Credit / Marketing (Branch Manager)

    Job Description

    • Generally oversee the articulation and execution of the bank's marketing strategies, ensuring alignment with the overall corporate strategy, goals and objectives
    • Provide guidance, leadership support and direction to the Marketing team
    • Build the bank's profile and brand image in the market through sustained campaigns
    • Manage the entire credit application process, right from login to disbursement to recovery
    • Lead the design and implementation of all marketing strategies to achieve the goals for all the microfinance banking products
    • Drive timely and successful development and implementation of the banking product and service ideas which are key to business performance and growth
    • Manage quality loan portfolio of the bank
    • Co-operate with legal, technical, risk management, loan recovery units to ensure a healthy loan portfolio.

    Requirements

    • B.Sc. or its equivalent preferably in the Social Sciences
    • Additional Qualification in a business related area will be an advantage
    • A minimum of 8 years post-graduation credit and marketing experience in a commercial or microfinance bank
    • Practical experience in credit appraisal, administration, and control in a financial institution in Nigeria

    Head, Audit

    Job Description

    • Effectively plan and function as Head, Audit; assigning personnel to specific audit activities and reviewing audit work papers for adequacy of coverage and content to support audit findings
    • Develop review and analyze the ongoing effectiveness of all audit programs, recommending changes and improvements as appropriate
    • Assist in education and development of staff members
    • Conduct and/or assist with special projects; assist independent public accountants or examiners and support other audit personnel; and handle audit questions and inquiries.
    • Develop and implement effective audit techniques and procedures and utilize documentation skills which adequately support audit findings within a timely manner
    • Evaluate and analyze the effectiveness of more complex procedures and internal controls within the assigned corporate or compliance area, using appropriate audit skills, techniques, and judgment
    • In a timely manner, effectively prepare summaries of findings and audit reports and communicate audit findings and recommendations to appropriate audit levels, including executive management and the Audit Committee
    • Develop a high level of analytical skills and evaluate the effectiveness of procedures, segregation of duties and internal controls within a corporate area or enterprise wide project
    • Perform other duties as assigned.

    Requirements
