    Corporate Services Manager

    Responsibilities:

    Leadership and Team Management:

    • Provide strong leadership to the corporate services team, including administrative staff and facility management personnel.
    • Foster a collaborative and positive work environment, promoting teamwork and professional development opportunities.

    Corporate Event Coordination:

    • Plan and coordinate corporate events, such as conferences, seminars, and workshops.
    • Manage event logistics, including venue selection, catering, audiovisual equipment, and guest registration.
    • Assist in creating event budgets, tracking expenses, and ensuring events stay within the allocated budget.
    • Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure a seamless event experience.

    Administrative Support:

    • Manage administrative staff and coordinate their activities, including office supplies, travel arrangements, scheduling, and records management.
    • Develop and implement efficient administrative processes and procedures to enhance productivity and streamline operations.
    • Serve as a point of contact for internal departments and external stakeholders regarding administrative and operational matters.

    Facilities Management:

    • Oversee all aspects of facility management, including maintenance, repairs, security, and space planning.
    • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and implement appropriate measures to mitigate risks.
    • Collaborate with external vendors and contractors to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of facility services.
    • Procurement and Vendor Management:
    • Develop and implement procurement strategies to optimize purchasing processes and reduce costs.
    • Establish and maintain relationships with vendors, negotiate contracts, and monitor service levels and performance.
    • Conduct regular vendor assessments and evaluations to ensure compliance with organizational standards and objectives.
    • Budgeting and Resource Allocation:
    • Assist in the development of the corporate services budget, monitor expenditures, and identify areas for cost-saving opportunities.
    • Allocate resources effectively and efficiently to support various corporate services functions and initiatives.
    • Documentation, Compliance and Policy Implementation
    • Assist in preparing and filing legal and regulatory documents, such as business licenses and permits.
    • Ensure compliance with relevant legal and regulatory requirements, as well as internal policies and procedures.
    • Develop and implement policies and guidelines related to corporate services, facilities, and administrative functions.
    • Conduct regular audits and reviews to assess compliance and identify areas for improvement.
    • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
    • Collaborate with various departments to support their administrative needs and streamline processes.
    • Foster effective communication and coordination between departments to promote a cohesive work environment.
    • Provide support during cross-functional projects and initiatives as required.

    Requirements

    • Below are knowledge, skills and abilities required for this position:
    • Bachelor's degree in business administration, management, or a related field.
    • Minimum of 7 years experience in corporate services management, administrative or similar role, preferably in a corporate environment.
    • Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.
    • In-depth knowledge of facility management principles, procurement processes, and administrative best practices.
    • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and multitask effectively.
    • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a proactive and solutions-oriented mindset.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact confidently with stakeholders at all levels.
    • Proficiency in using relevant software and tools, including MS Office Suite

    Job Description

    • Our Client, a renowned Law Firm, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Corporate Commercial Lawyer to join their law firm.
    • As a Corporate Commercial Lawyer, you will be responsible for providing expert legal advice and guidance to corporate clients on a wide range of commercial matters.
    • You will collaborate with clients and colleagues to analyze complex legal issues, draft legal documents, and negotiate business transactions.
    • The ideal candidate for this role is a motivated and detail-oriented professional with a strong background in corporate law and a passion for delivering high-quality legal services.

    Responsibilities:

    Legal Advisory:

    • Provide expert legal advice and guidance to clients on commercial law matters, including contracts, transactions, compliance, and regulatory issues.
    • Assess and manage legal risks associated with business transactions and propose strategies for risk mitigation.
    • Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of legal documents, including contracts, agreements, and corporate policies.
    • Conduct legal research and analysis to ensure clients are informed of relevant laws, regulations, and industry practices.

    Contract Management:

    • Ensure contracts are properly structured, contain appropriate provisions, and protect the organization's interests.
    • Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts, such as purchase agreements, joint venture agreements, licensing agreements, and distribution agreements on behalf of clients.
    • Ensure that contracts align with clients' objectives, comply with legal requirements, and protect their interests.
    • Advise clients on contract interpretation, potential risks, and recommended modifications.

    Corporate Transactions:

    • Assist clients in structuring and negotiating mergers, acquisitions, and other corporate transactions.
    • Conduct due diligence investigations and prepare related reports to identify legal risks and issues.
    • Draft and review transactional documents, including letters of intent, shareholder agreements, transaction agreements etc.
    • Preparation and filing of regulatory documents and applications related to corporate transactions.

    Compliance and Corporate Governance:

    • Advise clients on corporate governance matters, including board meetings, shareholder rights, and corporate structure.
    • Assist in the preparation and filing of corporate documents, such as articles of incorporation, bylaws, annual reports etc.
    • Ensure clients' compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and corporate governance standards.
    • Stay informed about changes in corporate laws and regulations and provide guidance on their impact on the organization.

    Client Relationship Management:

    • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, serving as their trusted legal advisor.
    • Collaborate effectively with internal teams, such as partners, associates, and support staff, to deliver exceptional client service.
    • Proactively identify opportunities to provide value-added legal services to clients and contribute to their business growth.

    Legal Risk Management:

    • Identify legal risks and potential liabilities faced by the organization and develop strategies to mitigate and manage such risks.
    • Conduct legal research and analysis to support decision-making and risk assessment processes.

    Requirements

    • Below are knowledge, skills and abilities required for this position:
    • LLB degree from a recognised University.
    • Minimum 7 years post call experience as a corporate commercial lawyer
    • In-depth knowledge of corporate law, contract law, and commercial transactions.
    • Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to provide practical and strategic legal advice.
    • Excellent drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills.
    • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
    • Sound business judgment and ability to balance legal risks with business objectives.
    • Familiarity with corporate governance principles and compliance frameworks.
    • Experience in mergers, acquisitions, and corporate transactions is highly desirable.
