Job Responsibilities

• Act as Chinese Translatorfor a certain department.
• English-Chinese interpreters assist with communication between English- and Chinese-speaking people.
• Assist Management in office requirements.
• Previous experience working in Production/manufacturing company
• Provide Management with clear and exact translations of written materials, and interpretations of verbal communication.
• Hsk 4 and above
• Providing interpretations of questions, answers, statements, arguments, explanations and other forms of verbal communication.
• Rendering sight translations of documents and other written materials.
• Imparting thought, purpose, spirit, emotions and tone of speakers from source language into target language.
• Interpreting with no additions or omissions.
• Ensure proper work coordination and reporting.
• Completion of daily activity logs and other documentation.
• Complying with applicable ethics and standards.

Qualification / Skills

• B.Eng. / HND qualification in Engineering
• 2 years or more experience as Chinese Interpreter
• Proficiency in Microsoft office.
• Valid certificate of accredited Chinese interpreting training.
• Excellent Chinese communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Proficient with use of office equipment.
• Outstanding listening, retention and note-taking skills.
• Proficient enunciation and pronunciation skills and pleasant, professional voice.
• Proficient understanding of cultural sensitivity, and ability to collaborate with people from diverse cultural backgrounds.

Qualifications and Experience

The following qualifications are the minimum requirements necessary to successfully perform this role.
However, any equivalent combination of experience, education and training, which provides the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities, would be acceptable, subject to requirements:

• Minimum of Trade Test certificate in Electrical Engineering or its equivalent
• Minimum of WASC / SSCE with 2 years’ experience in electrical Fittings, repairs, fixing and maintenance.
• Ability to maintain/repair a CAT generator is an added advantage
• Diagnosing electrical and mechanical faults for the Manufacturing equipment/Machines
• A Smart and efficient youth
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings for installations/maintenance
• Experienced in troubleshooting and responding to operational concerns.
• Proven record of being reliable and resourceful with ability to work independently and take initiative
• Performing emergency repairs promptly and efficiently.
• Providing technical direction and on-the-job training.
• Keeping daily logs and records of all maintenance functions.
• Ensuring compliance with appliance standards and with the Occupational Health and Safety Act.

Salary
N80,000 - 100,000 / month.
