    Chief Operations Officer

    Core Responsibilities

    • The Chief Operating Officer will be responsible for the leadership and coordination of the operational and business development activities of the passenger Transport Company with the aim for immediate transformation for better performance and profitability.
    • Identify, develop and execute business growth opportunities for the Company across its passenger transport and courier business lines
    • Assess business growth opportunities with new and existing clients
    • Develop industry leads and network
    • Plan, organize, direct, manage, evaluate and are responsible for the budget, customer service, and operational activities of the organization,
    • Monitor operational efficiency at all the CompanyТs branches across the country
    • Drive the business development process along all business lines
    • Ensure operational activities support and strengthen the strategic objectives of the overall organization
    • Maintain current and technical skills and apply new knowledge to the management of tasks for the improvement of operations
    • Analyze operational information and evaluate the results to choose the best alternatives to operational challenges
    • Responsible for the actual and detailed scheduling of buses/trucks to achieve the company's operational and financial targets.
    • Coordinate the activities of station managers and the operations staff.
    • Must make adequate arrangements to maximize revenue from profitable routes.
    • Prepare and evaluate an action plan for the day to day achievement of the companyТs target.
    • Proffer solution on how best to remain ahead of competitors.
    • Responsible for new branch development and operations, and ensure the sustainable growth of all branches.

    Candidate Profile

    • Ownership mentality and an entrepreneurial drive.
    • A Master's Degree in Business Administration or any Business discipline from a recognized tertiary Institution.
    • At least 15 years work experience in passenger Operations or Courier Business
    • Minimum of 5 years strategic experience in a similar management role in a passenger Transport Company or Courier Business
    • Strong business development experience in passenger Transport or Courier Business
    • Knowledge of the Nigerian passenger Transport or Courier Business
    • Extensive leadership and operational management experience in a technologically driven passenger Transport or courier business environment
    • Ability to leverage technology for improved efficiency
    • Strong Business Acumen
    • Fluent in Technology advances
    • Highly sociable and interpersonal skills
    • High level of analytical and performance management skills and the ability to pay attention to detail.
    • Very good project and change management skills.
    • Ability to demonstrate support for innovation and for organizational changes needed to improve the organization's effectiveness.
    • Excellent active listening, negotiation and presentation skills.
