    Chief Operating Officer (COO) / Head of Business Development

    Role Overview

    • Trydnt is seeking a dynamic, high-calibre executive to take full ownership of our business development engine and daily operations. This dual-impact role requires a rare combination of a relentless growth driver and an organized operational leader.
    • As the COO / Head of Business Development, you will be responsible for aggressively expanding Trydnt’s market footprint identifying new clients, structuring high-value proposals, and closing deals while simultaneously managing internal staff, optimizing corporate structures, and ensuring seamless daily service delivery.
    • You will essentially run the day-to-day business, freeing executive leadership to focus on long-term vision and macro-strategy.

    Key Responsibilities
    Business Development & Revenue Growth (50%):

    • Pipeline Generation: Lead the end-to-end market research strategy to identify, target, and secure new corporate, institutional, and public sector clients.
    • Proposal & Bidding Management: Personally oversee and execute the drafting, structuring, and submission of highly technical business proposals, expressions of interest (EOIs), and competitive tender documents.
    • Client Relationship Management: Act as the primary executive face of Trydnt for new prospects, pitching services, negotiating high-value contracts, and managing client onboarding.
    • Market Strategy: Analyze market trends to position Trydnt’s service offerings competitively within the regional landscape.

    Operational Leadership & Internal Management (40%)

    • Daily Operations: Direct and supervise all daily administrative and operational activities of the firm to ensure efficiency and alignment with corporate goals.
    • Staff Leadership & Performance: Manage, mentor, and evaluate internal staff and project teams. Establish clear Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and foster a high-performance culture.
    • Internal Structuring: Continually assess and refine Trydnt’s internal workflows, reporting lines, and operational policies to maximize productivity and scalability.
    • Resource Allocation: Manage project timelines, logistics, and resource distribution to ensure client deliverables are met on time and within budget.

    Strategy & Reporting (10%)

    • Executive Alignment: Collaborate closely with the Managing Director to translate the company's long-term vision into actionable operational and sales targets.
    • Performance Reporting: Prepare and present comprehensive weekly and monthly reports on business development pipelines, financial health, and operational milestones.

    Performance Indicators (KPIs) for Success

    • Revenue Growth: Volume and value of new client contracts secured.
    • Proposal Win-Rate: Efficiency and success percentage of submitted corporate proposals.
    • Operational Efficiency: Improvement in internal project turnaround times and resource utilization.
    • Staff Retention & Output: Overall performance index and retention rates of internal team members.

    Required Profile & Qualifications

    • Experience: 8–10 years of progressive professional experience, with at least 3–5 years in a senior leadership capacity (e.g., COO, Business Development Director, General Manager, or Senior Consultant).
    • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, International Relations, Management, or a related field. An MBA or relevant Master’s degree is highly preferred.
    • Proven Track Record: Demonstrated success in B2B corporate sales, commercial proposal writing, and navigating complex procurement processes.
    • Operational Acumen: Strong experience managing multi-disciplinary teams, restructuring internal processes, and driving operational excellence.
    • Local Market Expertise: Deep understanding of the Abuja business ecosystem, including corporate, government, and development-sector networks.
    • Core Competencies: Exceptional negotiation skills, flawless written and verbal communication, strategic thinking, and decisive leadership.
