Job Summary

• We are seeking dedicated and experienced Chefs to oversee daily kitchen operations in our food outlets at Yaba and Oniru. The ideal candidate will have strong culinary skills, leadership abilities, and the ability to ensure high-quality food preparation and service.

Job Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage kitchen staff, ensuring adherence to recipes, portion sizes, and presentation standards.
• Execute food preparation and cooking processes, maintaining high standards of hygiene and safety.
• Assist in menu planning and development based on customer feedback from your location
• Manage and track inventory of produce supplies, including ordering supplies and minimizing waste/B&D.
• Ensure kitchen equipment is properly maintained and in good working condition.
• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, complying with health and safety regulations.
• This includes ensuring high standards of personal and PPE hygiene of themselves and other kitchen/cleaning staff
• Ensure accurate receiving and cooking parameters (receiving and cooking temperature and quality & quantity confirmation) are adhered to.
• Ensure all inventory books are kept up to date by close of business daily.
• Supervise all staff at your location assigned to ensure effective daily operations.
• Work with store associate to assign cleaning responsibilities to everyone including yourself
• Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, fostering a positive and efficient work atmosphere.

Job Requirements

Skills and Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Chef with at least 1 year in a similar role.
• Strong culinary skills with a thorough understanding of various cooking techniques and cuisines.
• Knowledge of food safety standards and kitchen operations.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Flexibility to work in a rotation with another Chef (if the need arises)

Other Requirements

• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
• Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks.

• Develop and maintain the visual identity and brand guidelines to ensure consistency across all brand touchpoints.
• Create visually captivating designs for digital and print materials, including websites, social media graphics, marketing collateral, packaging, and advertisements.
• Collaborate with the marketing team to conceptualize and execute creative campaigns that align with the brand's objectives and target audience.
• Translate brand strategies and marketing goals into compelling visual designs that effectively communicate key messages.
• Conduct research and stay up-to-date with design trends, industry best practices, and competitor analysis to drive innovation and maintain a competitive edge.
• Take ownership of projects from concept to final delivery, ensuring all design elements are accurate, visually appealing, and aligned with the brand's aesthetic.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product, and sales, to ensure brand consistency and cohesive visual representation across all channels.
• Work closely with external vendors, such as photographers and printers, to oversee the production process and maintain quality standards.
• Continuously evaluate and improve design processes and workflows to optimize efficiency and productivity.

Job Requirements  

• Proven experience (3+ Years) as a Visual Designer, preferably within a similar industry or with a focus on lifestyle or consumer goods.
• Proficiency in the following design tools: Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe After Effect, and Cinema 4d.
• A strong portfolio demonstrating a range of creative and visually compelling design projects, showcasing your ability to create impactful visual and motion designs.
• Solid understanding of design principles, typography, colour theory, and layout techniques.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and present design concepts and ideas.
• Strong attention to detail and a keen eye for aesthetics, ensuring consistency and quality in all design deliverables.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Up-to-date knowledge of design trends, industry best practices, and emerging technologies.
