    Cashier

    A Cashier is a retail professional who scans items to ensure prices and quantities are correct, assists those who need help or advice on products, and handles returns and exchanges when necessary.

    Responsibilities

    • Manage transactions with customers using cash registers.
    • Scan goods and ensure pricing is accurate.
    • Collect payments whether in cash or credit.
    • Issue receipts, refunds, change or tickets
    • Redeem stamps and coupons.
    • Cross-sell products and introduce new ones.
    • Resolve customer complaints, guide them and provide relevant information.
    • Greet customers when entering or leaving the store.
    • Maintain clean and tidy checkout areas.
    • Track transactions on balance sheets and report any discrepancies.
    • Bag, box or gift-wrap packages.
    • Handle merchandise returns and exchanges.

    Requirements and Skills

    • High School Degree
    • 2 - 3 years relevant work experience.
    • Work experience as a Retail Cashier or in a similar role in sales.
    • Basic PC knowledge.
    • Familiarity with electronic equipment, like cash register and POS.
    • Good math skills
    • Strong communication and time management skills.
    • Customer satisfaction-oriented.

    Salary
    N25,000 - N35,000 Monthly.

    Gallery Chef

    Chefs work with other kitchen staff to ensure that your kitchen runs effectively, and they have to be experts at ensuring food quality and maintaining kitchen equipment.

    Responsibilities

    • Should have a vast Knowledge in Continental dishes.
    • Should have a good knowledge about baking
    • Set up the kitchen with cooking utensils and equipment, like knives, pans and kitchen scales.
    • Study each recipe and gather all necessary ingredients.
    • Cook food in a timely manner.
    • Ensure appealing plate presentation.
    • Supervise Cooks and assist as needed
    • Slightly modify recipes to meet customers’ needs and requests (e.g. reduce salt, remove dairy)
    • Monitor food stock and place orders.
    • Check freshness of food and discard out-of-date items.
    • Experiment with recipes and suggest new ingredients.
    • Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations within the kitchen area and ready to take to corrections.

    Requirements and Skills

    • Candidates should possess a B.Sc Degree with 2 - 3 years relevant work experience.

    Salary
    N40,000 - N60,000 Monthly.
