Responsibilities

•  Create an aesthetically supportive learning environment that fosters inquiry, creativity, thinking, and independence to help your learners meet their learning goals.
• Teach the learners the essential rules of reading, writing, and speaking in English, using interesting and diverse methods
• Identify learners with special requirements and create individualized plans
• Assist struggling learners to improve their literacy skills
• Research new language teaching methods
• Collaborate with teaching staff and administrators to promote the learning and implementation of best practices in Literacy instruction.
• Monitor and set targets for the social and academic progress of learners.
• Build trusting relationships with learners, parents, and other staff
• Oversee the learners’ progress by tracking their assignments and exam grades, in order to provide helpful feedback.

 Requirements

• Previous experience as an English teacher in an International school
• Knowledge of various teaching methods
• Deep understanding of the national English curriculum
• A patient and resilient personality
• Dedication to students and education
• BSc/BA in English Language or English Literature; MSc is a plus
• A high degree of competency in ICT
• Excellent written, Oral communication and exceptional organizational skill
• Strong commitment to professional development

Qualification & Experience:

• Minimum of first degree in a relevant field (preferably Education).
• At least 4 years of relevant experience in a technology-oriented environment.

The following will be added advantages:      

• TRCN, EYFS teaching certification.
• At least 4 years of relevant on-the-job experience.
• Knowledge and experience in teaching phonics.
• Being familiar with the Early Years Foundation Stage Framework
• Be able to deliver a play-based learning experience for pupils

Skills & Experience:

• Must be conversant with a variety of age-appropriate teaching methodologies suitable for the Early Years
• Have good organizational skills and be resourceful including the ability to use educational technology.
• Ability to plan and execute a well-structured lesson that is stimulating and engaging to Learners.
• Good classroom management skills.
• Must be a team player with excellent communication skills.
• Be able to nurture and develop the pupils’ love for education through own passion for teaching; being a life-long learner and seeking to communicate a genuine love of learning through lessons.
• Have an appreciation of the importance of safeguarding in educational settings.
• To liaise closely with parents/careers and be ready to communicate pupils' progress regularly.

• Collaborate with teaching staff and administrators to promote the learning and implementation of best practices in Literacy instruction.
• Monitor and set targets for the social and academic progress of learners.
