Job Summary

• The Business Operations & Development Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations of the business while actively driving growth through events, corporate deals, partnerships, and new business opportunities. This is a hands-on business management and growth role. The successful candidate is expected to not only oversee operations but also actively bring in business, secure opportunities, build relationships, and contribute to business growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operations of the business, ensuring smooth service delivery, operational efficiency, and timely order fulfilment.
• Coordinate orders, production, deliveries, vendors, and other operational activities while maintaining high standards of customer satisfaction.
• Identify and pursue corporate, event, catering, and partnership opportunities to generate revenue, secure new clients, and support sales growth.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients, event organisers, companies, vendors, and potential partners to establish partnerships and secure repeat business.
• Generate, manage, and follow up on leads to improve lead conversion, secure new business, and increase revenue.
• Coordinate participation in events and manage event-related business from enquiry to delivery, including securing corporate and event deals.
• Monitor sales, customer feedback, operational performance, and customer retention, identifying areas for improvement and implementing appropriate solutions.
• Develop and implement initiatives to increase sales, customer retention, new business opportunities, and overall business growth.
• Prepare regular reports on revenue, sales growth, new clients, business opportunities, partnerships, customer feedback, operational performance, and progress against agreed business targets.
• Take ownership of resolving operational issues, improving service delivery, and ensuring agreed revenue, sales, customer satisfaction, and business growth targets are achieved.

Requirements

• 2–4 years’ experience in business operations, business development, sales, hospitality, food service, or a related field.
• Strong communication, negotiation, organisation, and relationship-management skills.
• Ability to identify opportunities and independently follow them through to completion.
• Commercially minded, proactive, resourceful, and results-driven.
• Experience with events, corporate sales, catering, or partnerships is an advantage.

What You’ll Do:

• Elevate Creative Standards: Take full ownership of the team’s visual output, ensuring every deliverable meets international agency standards.
• Streamline Workflows: Build and enforce structured post-production timelines and creative workflows to resolve operational bottlenecks.
• Mentor & Lead: Guide, review, and mentor junior art directors and graphic designers to build a high-performing creative unit.
• Onsite & Client Operations: Lead creative direction during key client briefings and oversee onsite production shoots when required.

What We Are Looking For:

• Proven experience as an Art Director within a fast-paced media, advertising, or creative agency.
• A stellar portfolio demonstrating exceptional visual design, brand identity, and campaign direction.
• Strong leadership skills with a track record managing team performance.
• Excellent project management skills—you know how to set, manage, and hit tight creative deadlines.
• Ability to attend physical client meetings and lead onsite operations in Lagos when required.
