    Brand Manager

    Key Responsibilities

    • We are offering an exciting opportunity to join the brand team in our Marketing department as a Brand Manager.
    • The Brand Manager engages with colleagues and external stakeholders and keeps them informed on company developments, create strategies to increase employee awareness and promote productivity. 
    • He/she ensures consumer resonating content is published and supports in the production of good brand content materials.
    • Externally, he/she communicates with the media and other interested parties to announce new products and discuss brand changes in a way that attempts to maintain a positive image of the company.
    • The brand manager conceptualizes and co-ordinates the implementation of brand communication, sponsorship and events plans and strategies that will enhance the Equity Scores, Sales Performance and Profitability of the brand(s) in line with Company’s overall profit and portfolio objectives. 

    Duties
    Brand Management:

    • Initiate and manage the annual brand planning process that includes data analysis, coordination with the wider commercial function to achieve the brand objectives in accordance with the overall brand strategy.
    • Execute brand initiatives in line with the brand role framework and brand positioning.
    • Monitor and report competitors’ activities to identify issues and opportunities.
    • Regular review of Brand’s profitability and making recommendations to mitigate deviation from estimated annual profit.
    • Analysis of trade margins of competing brands to make appropriate proposals.

    Communication Development and Media:

    • Contributes to the development of the communications strategy for the brand in collaboration with the communications team, creative and digital agencies.
    • Prepare agency briefs and subsequent evaluation and assessment of agency creative proposals.
    • Review and access campaign performance using the media monitoring agency reports. 

    Winning in Channels, Sponsorships, and Events:

    • Evaluate brand strategies and plans against key channel dynamics.
    • Manage sponsorship assets to ensure maximum Return On Investment (ROI) and impact.
    • Develop experiential plans and ensure world class execution on time, on budget, on strategy and on target to consistently achieve the desired impact

    Communication Research and global trends:

    • Manage brand budget to ensure budget control and optimization of spend. 
    • Work with relevant agencies to ensure internal and external approvals are secured for Brand Campaigns, Promotions and other brand activities.
    • Organize periodic meetings with agencies to ensure flawless execution of brand activities and initiatives.

    Requirements
    Educational Qualification:

    • Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 2nd Class upper or 2nd Class lower with a master’s degree in marketing, Finance, Business Administration, Economic, Psychology or other related social science field. 
    • A Master's Degree is an added advantage 

    Work Experience:

    • 4+ years’ experience in brand management, commerce or business advisory
    • Experience managing brands in FMCG and or a fast-paced business environment, preferably in a premium setting is an added advantage.

    Sustainability & CSR Manger

    About the Job

    • We are offering an exciting opportunity to lead Sustainability & CSR. The Sustainability & CSR Manger will be responsible for developing, planning, and executing Nigerian Breweries Plc Sustainability & CSR objectives. 

    Key Responsibilities

    • Develop key sustainability strategies and regularly review impact of sustainability and community engagement efforts.
    • Manage internal systems and procedures relevant to sustainability and community engagement
    • Manage the relationship with current sustainability partners and identify other external partners/vendors needed to execute on our sustainability strategy.
    • Develop authentic communication strategies and content to support sustainability and community engagement efforts.
    • Develop tools and metrics to measure and monitor progress and success
    • Monitor sustainability trends and competitors initiatives to support process improvement.
    • Develop annual sustainability report in accordance with GRI including case studies and socio-economic.
    • Execute engagement plan with Nigerian Breweries partners, customers and suppliers for development and delivery of their sustainability plans.
    • Develop relevant relationships with academia, think-tanks, business community, NGOs and other stakeholders in FMCG/Sustainability sector to positively influence workable policy on Sustainability regulation.

    Requirements
    Educational Qualification:

    • Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 2nd Class upper or 2nd Class lower with a Master's Degree in Sciences, Social Sciences or Engineering.
    • An MBA with specialization in Environmental Science offers an added advantage.

    Work Experience:

    • 5+ years’ experience in a corporate sustainability/corporate responsibility role or related capabilities.
    • Strong understanding of sustainability, social impact and community engagement 
    • Experience across multiple sustainability dimensions, including community, people, environmental, procurement, operational practices, and customer engagement.

    Knowledge:

    • Knowledge of sustainability practices, and applicable laws and regulations.
    • Ability to analyse and understand research and to identify relevant and valuable information.

    Skills:

    • Advanced presentation skills (Oral and written)- Ability to structure and deliver presentations clearly

    Brand Communications Manager

    • The Brand Communications Manager is an excellent communicator, with appreciable experience working with creative agencies, PR agencies, and in brand management. 
    • He or she can take ownership for content development and understands the end-to-end process of developing content from conception to execution and production, as well as authoring case studies in collaboration with brand teams where required. 

    Key Responsibilities

    • Takes responsibility for developing through the line marketing communications campaigns for brands across allotted portfolios and brands
    • Works closely with brand teams and creative agencies in concept development, ideation, and communication strategy alignment with broader commercial objectives of the company
    • Regularly shares case studies, and supports the Head of Comms and Marketing Capabilities in designing and deploying capability building programmes for the marketing team 
    • Collaborates with the media, strategy, and planning teams to provide monthly and quarterly competitive reviews on brands within the category, while also looking beyond beverages to inspire the marketing team 
    • Has full operational responsibility for supervising, aligning and approving tactical campaigns, while ensuring and embedding creativity as a core capability within the organisation

    Requirements
    Educational Qualification:

    • Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 2nd Class upper or 2nd Class lower with a Master's Degree in Social Sciences.
    • A Masters’ degree in any of the following will be an added advantage (Marketing, Marketing Communications, Media and Communications, Mass Communications or an MBA with a marketing specialization) 
    • APCON or NIMN certification is also an added advantage. 

    Work Experience:

    • At least 5 years post NYSC experience working in roles related to brand management, marketing communications and copywriting. 
    • Experience in developing award winning campaigns, preferably experience as a copywriter or account planner.
    • Work experience in a creative agency is an added advantage
    • Sound knowledge of regulatory environment in advertising 
    • An analytical mindset, with strong presentation skills and an ability to clearly articulate and present ideas.
