    Blasting and Painting Foreman

    Job Description

    • As a Blasting and Painting Foreman, you are responsible for overseesing and managinga crew of technicians to perform surface preparation and coating application for industrial equipment and structures.
    • Your primary duties includeenforcing safety protocols, ensuring quality standards are met, and managing project timelines and materials.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Blasting and Painting Management: Supervise surface preparation (blasting) and coating application (painting) activities, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
    • Team Leadership: Lead and manage blasting and painting crews, providing guidance and training as needed.
    • Safety Compliance: Ensure all blasting and painting activities adhere to HES (Health, Environment, and Safety) standards and Company procedures.
    • Documentation: Maintain detailed records of blasting and painting activities, including inspection reports and certification documents.

    • Experience: Minimum of 8 years of experience as a Blasting and Painting foreman/supervisor in offshore environments.
    • OPITO Basic Offshore Survival Induction and Emergency Training (BOSIET).
    • Additional certifications in coating inspection or NDT (Non-Destructive Testing) are an advantage.

    Permit Management:

    • To ensure that all construction activities and materials at the project site comply with approved specifications, drawings, standards, and contractual requirements.
    • The QA/QC Officer will monitor quality control procedures, perform inspections, and ensure corrective actions are implemented to maintain the highest level of workmanship and safety.

    Coordination:

    • Assist in preparing and reviewing method statements and inspection & test plans (ITPs).

    Continuous Improvement:

    Qualifications & Experience

    • Bachelor’s Degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
    • 5–10 years of experience in construction QA/QC, preferably in civil/infrastructure or oil & gas projects.
    • Strong knowledge of construction standards, specifications, and building codes.
    • Familiar with ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems.
    • Certification in QA/QC or construction inspection (e.g., ASQ, CSWIP, or equivalent) is an advantage.

    Safety & Compliance:

    Qualifications & Experience

    • Bachelor's Degree in Construction, Civil, or a related field (preferred).
    • 8 - 15 years scaffolding experience, with 4 - 5 years in a supervisory / foreman role.
    • Certified Scaffolder / Scaffolding Supervisor (CITB, CISRS, or equivalent certification).
    • Strong knowledge of international scaffolding standards (e.g., OSHA, BS EN 12811, TG20).
