    Admin and Accounts Executive

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Utilize financial software to maintain company finances.
    • Maintain accurate records of business costs and expense reporting.
    • Coordinate office activities including schedules, supplies, access, and equipment management.

    • Develop and recommend office procedures and systems to ensure efficient processes and record keeping.
    • Support the Admin & Business Liaison Manager in tracking, follow-up with clients and maintaining accurate client databases.
    • Act as contact point for clients, consultants and staff and pre-empting/escalating issues promptly.
    • Manage logistic arrangements for staff: travel, meetings, conferences, etc. as required.
    • Maintain, company and industry calendars.
    • Prepare background project documents as necessary.
    • Manage assigned projects and provide regular status reports.
    • Plan, facilitate and record business operational meetings.

    Qualifications:

    • Minimum of bachelor’s level education in accounting, administration, management, communications or equivalent experience in related field.

    • Ability to work independently and in a hybrid work.
    • Self-motivated and demonstrated ability to manage a busy and demanding workload.

    General Manager (Shipping Company)

    The General Manager will be responsible for overseeing overall business development, financial, operational and administrative activities, and serving as the point of contact between Senior Management and the entire team.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Driving company strategic direction, and ensuring all business activities align accordingly.
    • Overseeing all daily business and operational activities, and ensuring consistency with overall goals and strategy.
    • Developing high-level sales and business development strategies, and driving responsible teams to ensure targets are met or exceeded.

    Qualification and Experience Required:

    • 10+ years’ leadership experience within the maritime industry with extensive demonstrable experience in Business Development.
    • Minimum Bachelors’ Degree (or equivalent).
    • Masters’ in Business Administration will be an added advantage.
    • Strong inter-personal and people-oriented management skills with experience in leading and motivating multi-disciplinary teams.
    • Strong problem solving and stakeholder management skills.
    • Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced quickly changing environment.
    • Substantial experience in working closely with all regulatory bodies and stakeholders.
    • Budgetary management experience with commercial acumen.
    • Proactive and innovative attitude.
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
    • Ability to travel within Nigeria.

    Head of Finance and Accounts

    Key Responsibilities:

    Planning

    • Assist in formulating future direction and supporting strategic initiatives.
    • Monitor and direct the implementation of strategic business plans.
    • Develop financial and tax strategies.
    • Manage the capital request and budgeting processes.
    • Develop performance measures that support strategic direction.
    • Develop matrices that monitor Profit and Cost Units.

    Operations

    • Participate in key decisions as a member of the executive management team.
    • Maintain in-depth relations with all members of the management team.
    • Manage any third parties to which functions have been outsourced not limited to auditors, regulators and agencies.
    • Oversee the estate's transaction processing systems.
    • Implement operational best practices.
    • Oversee employee benefit plans, with particular emphasis on maximizing a cost-effective benefits package.
    • Supervise acquisition due diligence and work with procurement/executive office on acquisitions.

    Financial Information

    • Oversee the issuance, management and flow of financial information .
    • Report financial results to the Board / Excos.
    • Oversee the audit process.

    Third Parties

    • Maintain banking relationships.
    • Represent the estate with investment bankers and investors.

    Key Requirements

    • First degree in accounting or Business Administration.
    • A Masters Degree will be an advantage (Preference will be given to candidates with an MBA in Finance or Accounting).
    • Business experience and 12+ years of progressive management experience for a large corporation.
    • Experience in partnering with an executive team.
    • Have a high level of written and oral communication skills.
    • ACCA, ICAN or CFA qualifications.
    • IFRS compliance.
