    Accounts Supervisor

    Job Description:

    Overview: As an Accounts Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the day-to-day financial operations of the organization. Your responsibilities will encompass managing a team of accounting professionals, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and enforcing compliance with accounting standards and regulations.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Team Leadership:

    • Supervise and manage a team of accounting staff, including Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable personnel.
    • Provide guidance, support, and training to team members to enhance their performance.
    • Delegate tasks, set performance targets, and conduct regular performance evaluations.

    Financial Reporting:

    • Oversee the preparation of financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
    • Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting and compliance with accounting principles.

    Accounts Payable and Receivable:

    • Supervise accounts payable and receivable processes, including invoice processing, payment scheduling, and collections.
    • Verify and reconcile invoices, manage vendor relationships, and ensure timely collections from customers.

    Budget Management:

    • Assist in budget preparation and collaborate with the finance department to monitor expenditures.
    • Analyze variances and recommend cost-saving measures to senior management.

    Tax Compliance:

    • Ensure compliance with tax regulations and oversee the preparation and filing of tax returns.
    • Stay informed about changes in tax laws and adjust financial processes as needed.

    Audit Preparation:

    • Assist in the preparation for internal and external audits.
    • Provide auditors with required documents and explanations during audit processes.

    Financial Analysis:

    • Analyze financial data, trends, and performance indicators to provide insights and recommendations for decision-making.
    • Identify areas for process improvements and cost savings.

    Compliance and Regulations:

    • Ensure financial activities adhere to relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
    • Maintain accurate records and documentation for auditing and reporting purposes.

    Cash Flow Management:

    • Monitor and manage cash flow to ensure sufficient liquidity for the organization's operational needs.
    • Develop cash flow forecasts and cash management strategies.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. (Certifications such as CPA or CMA are a plus)
    • Proven experience in accounting, with a minimum of 3 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
    • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and tax laws.
    • Proficiency in financial software and accounting tools.
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
