    Accounts Assistant

    Job Description
    The duties of the role include but are not limited to:

    • Posting of all vouchers and invoices including pending ones.
    • Computation of Monthly PAYE.
    • Inventory of stock and record keeping of store items.
    • Preparing and raises weekly requisitions after having ascertained the authenticity of requests and check all payment vouchers raised before presentation to Director for authorised endorsement.
    • Assesses /evaluates quotations received from contractors, suppliers and third parties with a view to:
    • Ensure best value for money.
    • Adhere to budget of the school and seek approval of the Director and such other 
supplementary budgets as may be required from time to time.
    • Ensure budget limits are not exceeded or if they are, to ensure excess spending is duly 
approved by the Director, prior to commitment.
    • Ensure integrity of all payment and receipt functions.
    • Raises payment vouchers i.e. initiate the bank payment procedure to suppliers/contractors after appropriate approval.
    • Raising request for petty cash reimbursement.
    • Handles the disbursement of petty cash payments after receiving appropriate approval from the Director.
    • Writing of cheques.
    • Cashing of cheques and payments of bills.
    • Cash disbursements to vendors and other users.
    • Confirmation of students balances, including daily update of paid & unpaid reports.
    • Prepares daily and monthly bank reconciliation statements.
    • Preparation and dispatch of monthly payslips (this is done day before salaries are paid in each month).
    • Writing of cheques for expenses.
    • Weekly filing of receipts, correspondences and payment vouchers in a clear, orderly and accessible manner.
    • Preparing the weekly report of activities in the accounts unit.
    • Engages in any other financial assignment assigned by the Director as the need arises or any other duty related to the nature of the post.

    • The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor's Degree and up to 3 years’ experience and be digitally savvy.

    Montessori Directress

    Job Description
    The duties of the role include but are not limited to:

    • Work closely with the Head of Learning on all issues relating to the classroom.
    • Adhere to the conditions and terms of TLP Classroom Operating Procedures.
    • Responsible for the smooth running of designated room through the structured timetable and school guidelines.
    • Promote the general care and welfare of the all TLP children and more particularly, the children in designated classroom.
    • Maintain a daily register and supervise children in and out of the classroom, during other extra-curricular activities.
    • Study and discover the personality of each student in your care and maintain appropriate Pupils Assessment Logging System (P.A.L.S) feedback.
    • Work with the School management to develop and maintain the school’s Montessori program and use the weekly themed scheme.
    • Meet program delivery deadlines.
    • Organise relevant and appropriate field trips and outings.
    • Ensure general child stimulation using all proportionate equipment and materials at your disposal.
    • Maintain the standard and complete sets of the Montessori materials and create appropriate new ones.
    • Report and escalate unusual student development and behavior to Head of Learning.
    • Ensure all parents’ policies and procedures are followed, and all relevant forms, from and for parents,are completed and collected daily.
    • Deal promptly (within 24 hours) with queries from parents.
    • Respect the rights of the children and their parents.
    • Ensure that the environment is child led and child focused.
    • Conduct or arrange the general cleaning of your room and ensure it is safe for the children.
    • Prepare termly reports regarding the students' progress and development.

    Requirements

    • The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor's Degree, Montessori Certification and up to 3 years’ experience and be digitally savvy.

    Elementary Teacher

    Description
    The duties of the role include but are not limited to:

    • Working closely with the Administrator / Principal/Directresses and other Directress Assistants on all issues relating to the classroom.
    • Ensuring that you carry out the role of Class Aftercare Co-ordinator efficiently and professionally.
    • Responsible for the smooth running of your room through the structured timetable.
    • Ensuring the general care of the children in your room; outdoors during outdoor play and while on late pick up duty.
    • Working with the Principal/Directress to develop and maintain the school Montessori program, utilising the prescribed scheme with themed weeks, achieving annual programmes on time, organising outings.
    • Ensuring that the school / Montessori programmes are followed on a day‐to‐day basis. This will include meal time, circle time, arts & craft, songs, and other in-curricular activities.
    • Ensuring general child stimulation using all equipment at your disposal and keeping the levels proportionate.
    • Ensuring that all policies and procedures are followed, and all relevant forms, from and for parents, are completed and collected daily. For example medical administration form, daily report sheets, incident reports etc.
    • Escalating queries from parents to Directress / Administrator/ Principal.
    • Escalating issues to the Administrator in a timely manner.
    • Respecting the rights of the children their parents.
    • Ensuring that the environment is child led and child focused.
    • Conducting general cleaning duties of your room and ensuring it is safe for the children.
    • Maintaining the materials and creating appropriate ones.
    • Willingness to work in other classrooms of the School when required.

    Staff Responsibilities:

    • Ensuring a good level of communication with all staff in general.
    • Working as part of a team, fostering good relationship with your colleagues.
    • Supervising and directing attached junior staff.

    Class Facilitator

    Job Description
    The duties of the role include but are not limited to:

    • Working closely with the Head of Learning/Directress on all issues relating to the environment and students/clients.
    • Delivering direct one-on-one teaching and continuous assessments to clients.
    • Ensuring that the role of Class Aftercare Co-ordinator is carried out efficiently and professionally.
    • Responsible for the smooth running of your aftercare room through the structured timetable.

    • Ensuring that the school / Montessori programmes are followed on a day‐to‐day basis. This will include meal time, circle time, arts & craft, songs, and other in-curricular activities.
    • Ensuring general child stimulation using all equipment at your disposal and keeping the levels proportionate.
    • Ensuring that all policies and procedures are followed, and all relevant forms, from and for parents, are completed and collected daily. For example medical administration form, daily report sheets, incident reports etc.
    • Escalating queries from parents to Directress/ Head of Learning.
    • Escalating issues to the Head of Learning in a timely manner.
    • Respecting the rights of the children their parents.
