    Accounting Intern

    Responsibilities:

    • Assist the Head of Finance and Strategy in performing day-to-day accounting tasks and financial operations.
    • Support in maintaining accurate financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
    • Assist in preparing financial statements and reports as required by management.
    • Collaborate with the finance team to ensure compliance with accounting principles and organizational policies.
    • Aid in conducting financial analysis and research as directed by the Head of Finance and Strategy.
    • Assist in reconciling bank statements and resolving discrepancies.
    • Learn and apply accounting software systems used within the organization under the guidance of senior staff.
    • Participate in departmental meetings and contribute ideas to improve accounting processes and procedures.

    Requirements:

    • Currently pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
    • Strong passion for accounting and a desire to gain practical experience in the field.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word.
    • Excellent organizational and time management skills with a keen attention to detail.
    • Ability to work effectively in a team and willingness to learn from senior professionals.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

    • Develop and implement sales strategies to promote and sell Welcome2Africa International programs, events, and initiatives.
    • Prospect, acquire, and maintain relationships with potential delegates, sponsors, and partners.
    • Meet and exceed sales targets for delegate fees, sponsorships, and partnerships.
    • Collaborate closely with the Marketing team to create compelling sales materials and campaigns.
    • Conduct market research to identify potential clients, industry trends, and competitive offerings.
    • Effectively communicate the value propositions of Welcome2Africa International programs and events to potential stakeholders.
    • Negotiate and finalize sales agreements and contracts.
    • Provide regular reports on sales performance, forecasts, and market feedback to the Marketing Manager.
    • Represent Welcome2Africa International at events, conferences, and networking opportunities to generate leads and enhance brand visibility.

    Requirements:

    • Proven experience in sales, preferably in a related industry such as events, conferences, or sponsorships.
    • Strong understanding of sales techniques, strategies, and the ability to meet or exceed targets.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with diverse stakeholders.
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast paced, team-oriented environment.
    • Exceptional negotiation and persuasion skills.
    • Knowledge of the African business landscape and a passion for promoting investment and development in Africa is advantageous.
    • Proficiency in using CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.

    • Identify and engage potential conference attendees through targeted outreach, networking, and relationship building efforts.
    • Liaise with industry professionals, businesses, and organizations to secure group registrations for conferences.
    • Collaborate closely with the Marketing team to create persuasive sales materials, including presentations, proposals, and promotional content.
    • Meet and exceed sales targets for conference delegate attendance.
    • Manage sales pipelines, follow up on leads, and maintain accurate sales records using CRM software.
    • Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to refine sales approaches and strategies.
    • Negotiate and finalize agreements with individual attendees and group registrations.
    • Represent Welcome2Africa International at industry events, seminars, and networking opportunities to generate conference leads and enhance brand visibility.

    Requirements:

    • Proven track record in conference sales or a related sales field, demonstrating the ability to meet or exceed sales targets.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a knack for building and nurturing client relationships.
    • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to influence and persuade potential attendees.
    • Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
    • Familiarity with CRM software and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
