    Account Manager - Northern Nigeria

    Job Description Summary

    • In this role, you will be responsible for selling GE Healthcare products or services to and maintaining & developing new business opportunities with existing named accounts within the assigned region, including large, complex, high visibility, strategic, or tactically important accounts.

    Key responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

    • Prospecting for new customers and business in addition to growing and maintaining the existing customer portfolio, and qualifying new leads to maintain identified business to support a balanced sales funnel for future sales
    • Generating proposals, preparing sales quotations, planning customer meetings, and demonstrating equipment capabilities on assigned products in assigned territory
    • Sales negotiation and deal closure at the customer, interfacing with all key buying influencers such as direct users of the product, but also department heads and CXO level personnel
    • Expected to sell point of sale service contracts, financing and drive margin though selling value and holding price
    • Develop and maintain a high level of product knowledge of GEHC and competitive products
    • Achieve annual and quarterly achievement of multiple order and revenue targets through accurate monthly and quarterly forecasting, by prioritizing selling time to generate sales volume, achieve account penetration and complete territory coverage
    • Maintaining satisfactory after-sale relationships and development of long-term customer relationships coupled with the ability to identify and capitalize on opportunities that immediately satisfy customer needs
    • Develop account penetration strategies for key target and competitive accounts and communicating current market intelligence back to the business, along with field concerns, issues and requirements
    • Providing leadership in market analysis and development/execution of strategies and action plans to drive product sales
    • Integrating and coordinating with GEHC field teams (products and services) to drive orders and achieve growth.
    • Creating and executing on strategic business plans (e.g., Bulk buys).

    • Aware of and comply with the GEHC Quality Manual, Quality Management System, Quality Management Policy, Quality Goals, and applicable laws and regulations as they apply to this job type/position
    • Complete all planned Quality & Compliance training within the defined deadlines
    • Identify and report any quality or compliance concerns and take immediate corrective action as required
    • Knowledge and understanding of all Global Privacy and Anti-Competition Policies (including but not limited to GE Healthcare HIPPA Guidelines, NEMA Regulations, etc.) and operates within them to ensure that no company policy or US / Int’l Law is broken.
    • Knowledge and understanding of all Environmental Health Policies (including but not limited to GE Healthcare EHS Policies, GE Healthcare Fleet Rules, etc.) and operate within them to ensure that no company policy or US / Int’l Law is broken
    • Ownership of order and configuration quality at the point of entry to ensure accuracy, configuration integrity and that all requirements are tied to documented customer inputs.
    • Drive continuous improvement on all related processes, work instructions, and procedures to ensure ongoing standardization and simplification of the Quality Management System.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree
    • Previous Healthcare high-end capital equipment sales experience or LifeScience
    • Demonstrated ability to work independently
    • Ability to energize, develop, and build rapport at all levels within an organization
    • Demonstrated ability to analyze customer data and develop financially sound sales offers
    • Years of demonstrated selling skills including customer presentations, price quoting, closing and growing a sales territory
    • Proven executive (CX0) relationship building skills in a hospital/healthcare environment
    • Experience interfacing with both internal team members and external customers as a part of a solution-based sales process
    • Strong communication and clear thinking skills with the ability to synthesize complex issues into simple messages
    • Willingness to travel within your specified geographic region with occasional overnight stays depending on geography and business need.

    General Manager - West Africa

    Job Description Summary

    The General Manager, West Africa drives a coherent commercial strategy across the HealthCare business within the LCT and optimizes the use of commercial resources to drive market potential. The General Manager is responsible for implementing LCT go-to-market strategy as defined by the Africa LCT Leader. Responsible for leading the Company’s Healthcare account management activities in conjunction with Product Leaders & Specialists within the MCT to achieve the operating plan, via direct and indirect channels. The GM is responsible for leading all GE Healthcare sales activities & P&L for West Africa.

    Job Description

    Essential Responsibilities

    • Is accountable to achieve the quarterly and yearly Operating Plan for relevant Healthcare Portfolio in their geographical area
    • Is accountable for timely and accurate forecasting of pipeline per product and sales per the normal reporting cycles within Geographical Zone.
    • Provides input to and contributes to the formulation of the yearly business planning cycles
    • Manages overall Sales revenue, margin, base costs and orders, and cash priorities in a manner that fulfils business goals and maintain focus on high impact.
    • Actively identify & drive boundaryless selling opportunities. Promote Service offerings, identify and escalate commercial service needs.
    • Execute Go-to-market strategy in conjunction with the relevant Modality leaders in order to cover the prioritized potential within the geography
    • Align territories to market potential and priorities and assign optimal account management and modality specialist sales resources in conjunction with the modality teams.
    • Develop & Implement growth strategies for the Private, Public & Regional business segments
    • Attract, retain, educate and develop world-class commercial talent to execute on Go-to-market strategy.
    • Responsible for ensuring that all Account Managers and Account Executives have clear opportunity management activity and relationship building plans to ensure efficient coverage of decision makers and influencers through-out the total opportunity management cycle.
    • Drives performance management within the team, providing a regular operating mechanism of feedback, coaching and managing the annual appraisal system
    • Know Key Opinion Leaders in care areas; manage professional relations with key customers, academia government & administrative bodies in order to deepen understanding of customer challenges and needs. Nurture relationship with professional society stakeholders within geographical area.
    • Maintain up to date market and competitor knowledge related to the full Company product and services solutions and ensure that teams strengthen their knowledge on how to differentiate the Company offering.
    • In cooperation with Product leadership and Marketing teams, drive One HealthCare marketing events in assigned region
    • Understand and lead development of financial offerings and solutions in collaboration with sales and project finance team within LCT based on customer needs
    • Ensure order booking quality and linearity improves for the zone, and ensure improved engagement/handshake between Inventory To Order (ITO) & Order To Remittance (OTR) takes place
    • Ensure knowledge of and compliance of integrity and company policies, Systems, Quality Management Policy, Quality Goals, and applicable laws and regulations as they apply to this job type/position.

    Qualifications/Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree.
    • Experience in Business Management, Sales, Marketing or equivalent years of experience in progressive leadership positions within the Healthcare industry with in-depth knowledge of healthcare market.
    • Proven and solid on ethics and integrity, able to guide the team and the organization safely in the demanding legal and regulatory HC environment.
    • Experience closing large, complex, strategic deals.
    • Experience in healthcare or equivalent industry.
    • Strong business acumen with ability to analyze financial needs accurately and establish budget effectively.
    • Proven leadership and ability to orchestrate resources and motivate teams. An inclusive leader who builds a connection to the workforce through personal involvement and trust.
    • Proven ability to influence and drive change
    • Proven success in the South Africa Public Sector
    • Exceptional presentation skills; able to present ideas and communicate to customers and team in a way that produces understanding and impact.
    • Understanding of customer/marketplace and drivers that influence customer behavior.
    • Ability to resolve complex issues within LCT.
    • Ability to develop and execute multiple priorities and approaches to meet objectives.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Master’s degree preferred.
