Nsik Motors Limited, a dynamic and proactive transport auto-sales and leasing Company was incorporated under the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria on the 27th of March, 2003. The Company, the brain child of Mr. Nsikan Johnny, who started as a motorbike operator (okada), was determined to explo... read morere other aspects of the transport industry that will enhance the movement of goods and persons in large scale, create employment and take transport business to an enviable height.
Moved by this vision, Mr. Nsikan Johnny acquired his first automobile, a fairly used Volkswagen bus, popularly known as "Danfo” and operated within Port Harcourt City 7 (Borokiri-Mile 3) where he served as a conductor for six months and subsequently took over as its driver. Not long after this, the need to ply inter-state route became expedient, which necessitated the further acquisition of a Mitsubishi L300 to complement the 'Danfo’ bus. The L300 plied Port Harcourt-Uyo route under Port Harcourt City Transport Company Limited, which Mr. Johnny drove himself while the "Danfo” still plied within Port Harcourt City, driven by someone else. An additional Toyota Hiace bus was procured to complement the Volkswagen and the L300 buses.
The successes recorded in the use of the three buses and the need for further expansion based on the vision, led to the acquisition of 4 (four) more vehicles which then brought the number of vehicles to seven (7).
With the number of vehicles now increased to seven (7), though fairly used (tokunbo) the need to formally incorporate a Company to actualize the vision of floating a transport Company became inevitable. On March 27 2003, Nsik Motors Limited was born and thus became an incorporated entity under the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. With the commencement of its operations as a fully incorporated transport Company, Nsik Motors Limited acquired a park at No. 3 Olu Obasanjo Road, Port Harcourt, Rivers State on May 2003, which the Company still uses till date. Another park at 108 Ikot Ekpene Road, Uyo, Akwa Ibom Transport Company Limited’s premises served as its Uyo operational base, after the Company had entered into agreement with the then managers of Akwa Ibom Transport Company Limited (AKTC) to run the Uyo-Port Harcourt route exclusively, a mandate Nsik Motors Limited perfected to an art form. Though a profit-making Company but exercising an uncompromising faith in its Quality, Safety and Comfort principle (QSC), Nsik Motors Limited which entered into partnership with Akwa Ibom Transport Company Limited’s (AKTC) at a time the latter had suffered serious operational set-backs and low business turn-over, within a short time, revived and regenerated the erstwhile and nostalgic Akwa Ibom Transport Company Limited’s (AKTC) glory and standard, at least in the Uyo-Port Harcourt routes operated by Nsik Motors Limited.
