YouTube Channel Manager (Hausa Speaking) at Thema Nigeria (Rok Studios)

About the Role

• We are seeking a skilled YouTube Channel Manager to develop and manage a new YouTube channel focused on Yoruba/Hausa content from Nigerian producers.
• The role involves video editing, channel optimization, and performance monitoring to maximize advertising revenue.

Key Responsibilities

 Video Editing

• Edit programs according to project guidelines.
• Create trailers, teasers, Shorts, and promotional videos.

 YouTube Channel Management

• Upload and optimize videos (metadata, thumbnails, monetization).
• Organize content into playlists and schedule publications.
• Track performance metrics and generate reports.

Rights Holder Coordination

• Liaise with content providers on editorial, marketing, and legal matters.
• Resolve copyright claims in collaboration with rights holders.

Social Media Promotion

• Develop platform-specific content (YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok).
• Implement best practices, including trend adaptation and engagement strategies.

Required Skills & Experience

• Proficient in Adobe Premiere, After Effects, and Photoshop.
• Strong knowledge of YouTube Studio, CMS, and Content ID.
• Experience managing YouTube channels (either personal or for brands/agencies).
• Solid copywriting and communication skills.
• Fluent in professional English
• Fluent in Hausa
• Analytical mindset with experience in performance tracking.

Additional Qualifications

• Knowledge of Yoruba language
• Intermediate Excel skills for data analysis.
