    Workshop Manager (Fleet & Truck Maintenance) at

    Job Summary

    • As the Workshop Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the operations of multiple truck maintenance workshops to ensure the fleet operates at peak performance.
    • You will plan and coordinate preventive maintenance, supervise technical teams, and manage budgets, processes, and spare parts to minimize downtime and maximize efficiency.

    Responsibilities

    • Oversee the day-to-day operations of truck maintenance workshops across three branches
    • Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for the fleet
    • Supervise and mentor mechanics, technicians, and support staff
    • Ensure all repairs and maintenance work are performed to the highest standards of quality and safety
    • Manage spare parts inventory and procurement in a cost-effective manner
    • Monitor workshop performance, downtime reports, and service turnaround times
    • Enforce compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards
    • Coordinate with the logistics/fleet operations team to prioritize urgent repairs
    • Control maintenance budgets and reduce operational costs without compromising quality
    • Prepare and present regular reports on workshop performance, costs, and fleet readiness
    • Liaise with external service providers and vendors where necessary

    Requirements

    • Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Mechanical / Automotive Engineering, Transport Management, or related field
    • Minimum of 5–7 years’ experience in heavy-duty truck maintenance, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or managerial role
    • Strong technical knowledge of diesel engines, refrigeration trucks, and fleet systems
    • Proven experience managing multiple workshop locations is an added advantage
    • Strong leadership, people management, and team coordination skills
    • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
    • Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with fleet management/maintenance software
    • Ability to work under pressure and deliver results within tight timelines.
