The Cold-Chain Warehousing Associate will oversee the operations of the cold storage units at Vendease, ensuring that all products are stored, handled and delivered in accordance with the companies' food safety & assurance policies and procedures.
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the quality of the products, ensuring that they are handled and stored in the appropriate conditions, and implementing appropriate quality control measures.
The candidate will also be responsible for maintaining the ageing reports, cold-chain inventory cycle, stock accuracy & counts and inbound-outbound operations.
Responsibilities
Oversee the day-to-day inbound & outbound operations of the cold storage units, including managing staff, monitoring inventory levels, and ensuring that all products are stored and handled in accordance with established policies and procedures.
Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for the cold storage units, including procedures for receiving, handling, storing and delivering products.
Maintain accurate records of all inventory levels, including tracking product quantities and expiration dates.
Work with the quality control team to ensure that all products are stored and handled in the appropriate conditions to maintain their quality and safety.
Monitor the temperature and humidity levels in the cold storage units to ensure that they are within the specified range.
Implement appropriate safety and security measures to ensure that all products are protected from theft, damage or contamination.
Work closely with the procurement team to ensure that all products are received in a timely manner and that inventory cycle & levels are maintained at the appropriate levels.
Coordinate with the Last-Mile team to ensure that all products are delivered to customers in a timely and efficient manner in the right conditions.
Prepare reports on inventory levels, storage conditions, and other relevant metrics as required by senior management
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management or a related field
Minimum of 5 years of experience in warehousing, with at least 2 years of experience in cold storage management
Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, including inventory management, quality control, and safety protocols
Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and supervise a team of warehouse staff
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve issues quickly and efficiently
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers, suppliers, and other stakeholders
High level of attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy and quality
Proficiency in warehouse management software and other relevant tools
Knowledge of food safety regulations and quality assurance standards is a plus
