Warehousing Associate (Cold-Chain) at Vendease

Job Summary

• The Cold-Chain Warehousing Associate will oversee the operations of the cold storage units at Vendease, ensuring that all products are stored, handled and delivered in accordance with the companies' food safety & assurance policies and procedures.
• The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the quality of the products, ensuring that they are handled and stored in the appropriate conditions, and implementing appropriate quality control measures.
• The candidate will also be responsible for maintaining the ageing reports, cold-chain inventory cycle, stock accuracy & counts and inbound-outbound operations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day inbound & outbound operations of the cold storage units, including managing staff, monitoring inventory levels, and ensuring that all products are stored and handled in accordance with established policies and procedures.
• Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for the cold storage units, including procedures for receiving, handling, storing and delivering products.
• Maintain accurate records of all inventory levels, including tracking product quantities and expiration dates.
• Work with the quality control team to ensure that all products are stored and handled in the appropriate conditions to maintain their quality and safety.
•  Monitor the temperature and humidity levels in the cold storage units to ensure that they are within the specified range.
• Implement appropriate safety and security measures to ensure that all products are protected from theft, damage or contamination.
• Work closely with the procurement team to ensure that all products are received in a timely manner and that inventory cycle & levels are maintained at the appropriate levels.
• Coordinate with the Last-Mile team to ensure that all products are delivered to customers in a timely and efficient manner in the right conditions. 
• Prepare reports on inventory levels, storage conditions, and other relevant metrics as required by senior management

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in warehousing, with at least 2 years of experience in cold storage management
• Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, including inventory management, quality control, and safety protocols
• Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and supervise a team of warehouse staff
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve issues quickly and efficiently
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers, suppliers, and other stakeholders
• High level of attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy and quality
• Proficiency in warehouse management software and other relevant tools
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and quality assurance standards is a plus
