Job Summary

• Perform general warehouse duties which may include moving, organizing, and re-stocking inventory and processing returns.
• Review the timeliness of scheduled deliveries.
• Assist with inventory cycle counting and reconciliation of cycle count variances. Observe and report inventory issues and trends.
• Be instructed in safety and adhere to safety standards as well as good housekeeping policies.
• Maintain a neat and orderly work area that is adequately stocked with supplies.
• Recommend process improvements to the supervisor and assist in the implementation of process changes when appropriate.
• Responsible for cleanliness within the work department.
• Responsible for safely performing all job requirements and being a proactive safety role model for co-workers.
• Responsible for correcting/reporting unsafe equipment, to ensure a safe working environment.
• Ensure temperature rooms are maintained.
• Optimize employee workflow.
• Train, guide, and evaluate new warehouse workers.
• Track expenses related to fuel, storage, and truck maintenance.
• Liaise with customers, suppliers, and transport companies for delivery of goods.
• Coordinate and monitor the receipt, order, assembly, and dispatch of goods.
• Keep stock control systems up to date and make sure inventories are accurate.
• Plan future capacity requirements
• Prepare regular reports and statistics on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
• Maintain standards of health and safety, hygiene, and security in the warehouse
• Oversee the planned maintenance of vehicles, machinery, and equipment.
• Where appropriate, oversee the maintenance and operation of warehouse management systems and automated storage and retrieval systems.
• Ensure all car logs are filled and reviewed weekly.
• Maintain accurate records of the goods stored in the warehouse, including the number and type of items, their location, and their condition.
