VP of Product Operations at Lori Nigeria

About the Role

• The VP of Product Operations will help Lori achieve its goal of becoming the largest e-logistics company in global emerging markets.
• The position requires a driven, thoughtful, self-motivated leader with strong analytical and organizational skills and a strong track record of driving product launches and execution while driving global operation processes and their automation.
• You will work at the intersection of our business operations and technology, to ensure we develop the right solutions for our stakeholders and deploy those solutions.
• The successful candidate is a process driven doer who enjoys building and excels at change and project management.

What You Will Do:

• Implement and execute global strategy while leveraging technology and data to increase efficiency
• Collaborate with CEO to exponentially grow Lori’s operational capacity
• Master Lori’s customers and their needs, the industry, and market dynamics across multiple geographies.
• Work with the executive team to set targets & track performance across the organization
• Identify new market opportunities and refine product vision and strategy
• Own, execute and change-manage complex projects that touch technology, operations, finance, and other business units at Lori
• Use data and analytics to produce business insights and drive strategy
• Engage closely with engineering leads to accurately plan and deliver on the product development schedule.
• Streamline cross-team collaboration for optimal operational efficiency

Requirements
What It Takes:

• BA / BSc in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related technical field
• 10+ years experience in product management, operations and/or management consulting
• 7+ years experience at a high-growth technology or consulting firm
• Excellent management, communication and execution skills, proven ability to build, train and lead teams
• Strong analytical thinker who is data driven and able to make decisions quickly
• Experience developing, implementing and achieving KPIs
• Experience with day-to-day operational finance
• Record of setting and achieving ambitious goals in an innovative and fast-paced environment.
• Energetic, driven and self-motivated

Preferred Experience:

• MBA or equivalent advanced degree
• Experience with leading mobility startups, digital company and/or in logistics (traditional and e-logistics)
• 2+ years in management consulting or banking 
• Expertise in B2B/B2C, SaaS, FinTech or Data Science
• Experience with African Start-ups and plugged into the entrepreneurial ecosystem.
