    Visual Artist/Visual Effects Artist

    Salary: 200,000

    Role Overview:

    As a Visual Artist/Visual Effects Artist, you will be responsible for shaping the visual style of our games and creating stunning visual effects that elevate the player experience. You will work closely with the development team to ensure that the art direction aligns with game mechanics and storytelling, adapting your style as needed to meet project requirements.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Art Direction:

    • Work on the visual art direction for games, ensuring consistency and quality across all visual elements.
    • Collaborate with designers, writers, and developers to establish a cohesive visual language that supports gameplay and narrative.
    • Create original pieces of art for gaming properties and adjacent bodies of work.

    Visual Effects Creation:

    • Design and implement engaging visual effects (VFX) that enhance gameplay, including particle effects, animations, and environmental effects.
    • Work with animation and technical teams to integrate VFX seamlessly into the game engine.

    Adaptability and Style:

    • Adapt artistic styles based on project needs and reference materials while maintaining high standards of quality.
    • Create style guides and visual references to ensure alignment among team members.

    Collaboration:

    • Collaborate with the art team to provide feedback and direction on asset creation, ensuring they align with the overall vision.
    • Facilitate brainstorming sessions and workshops to inspire creativity within the team.

    Continuous Learning:

    • Stay current with industry trends, tools, and techniques in game art and visual effects.
    • Experiment with new technologies and workflows to enhance the artistic output of the team.

    Requirements/ Qualifications/  Experience

    • Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts, Game Art, Visual Effects, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
    • Proven experience in game art and visual effects, with a strong portfolio demonstrating your skills.
    • Strong proficiency in digital art software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Blender, Unity, Unreal Engine).
    • Experience in creating and implementing visual effects in game engines.
    • Exceptional artistic skills with a strong eye for detail, color, composition, and visual storytelling.
    • Ability to adapt your artistic style based on project requirements and references.
    • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with a willingness to provide and receive constructive feedback.
    • A well maintained and detailed portfolio showcasing your artistic work and the visual effects you’ve created.
