Description
The videographer role involves working with the creative team to plan, film, and edit video content according to requirements. You should also be proactive and always be on the lookout for stories to tell/opportunities to put out video content that properly showcases the company’s products and their capabilities. You should also be able to handle the storytelling process from planning the shoot, executing the shoot and editing the footage.

Key Responsibilities

• Record video using professional equipment on location or in a studio
• Edit captured video to tell concise, visually pleasing stories
• Direct other camera operators so that the needed footage is acquired.
• Carry out post-production video editing on a variety of video formats
• Set-up lighting and audio equipment
• Maintain equipment
• Design, transport, set up, and operate production equipment, including audio
• and lighting equipment, for field and studio productions.
• Maintain equipment inventory and field and studio production schedules.

The Person

• Computer skills – you need good computer skills to work with various video editing software programs, such as Adobe, Cinema 4D, and Photoshop
• Interpersonal skills – you should possess excellent interpersonal skills needed to work with people of all ages from all walks of life, helping them feel relaxed and comfortable in front of the camera
• Time management – you should have good time management skills to work within tight deadlines, capturing action and once-in-a-lifetime moments on camera
• Multitasking – because the role requires you to capture many different moments, people, and expressions on camera, you should be able to multitask
• Communication skills – you should be able to provide direction to capture the right moments on camera, this requires good verbal communication skills
• Physical fitness – you should possess the physical fitness required to transport, move, set up, and take down various pieces of heavy recording equipment
• Attention to detail – you should possess a keen attention to detail to make precise edits to captured video and stage beautiful scenes for filming purposes
