• As a Vice Principal of Academics, you oversees all academic affairs, which includes supervising curriculum development, monitoring teaching methods and staff performance, managing academic schedules, and ensuring students meet learning objectives.
• They are responsible for teacher professional development, overseeing assessments and exams, and assisting the principal in implementing academic policies and strategies.

Core Responsibilities

• Staff supervision and development: Supervises teachers and department heads to ensure they are meeting their duties and delivering the curriculum effectively.This includes conducting performance reviews, monitoring lesson plans, and providing professional development opportunities.
• Academic planning and scheduling: Works with a timetable committee to create the school's academic schedule.They also manage the academic calendar and oversee academic budgets.
• Student assessment and progress: Manages the process of creating, administering, and scoring periodic tests and final exams.They monitor student progress and help implement interventions for students who need additional support.
• Administrative duties: Assists the principal with various administrative tasks, which can include managing student placement, handling academic records, and leading meetings with academic staff.
• Compliance and reporting: Ensures compliance with school and government regulations related to academics.They also report on academic performance and any weaknesses to the principal.
• Curriculum and instruction: Oversees curriculum development, ensuring it remains relevant and meets school and national standards.They monitor teaching methods and provide guidance to teachers to improve instructional effectiveness.

Qualifications

• Interested and qualified candidates should possess a Bachelor's / Master`s Degree with 5 - 15 years experience.
