We are recruiting a Utilities Operator who operates all equipment in the site’s utility plant.
Troubleshoots, tests, diagnoses, maintains, repairs, replaces components as needed, monitors and adjusts the system or equipment in the Utility Plant to ensure a fully functional and operational system.
Responsible for the proper operation of the boiler, air compressor, and chiller systems, as well as all other systems related to the Central Utility Plant. Monitors equipment and systems performance and makes required adjustments to maintain plant production within specified limits.
Perform technical and general maintenance work on a variety of systems that support the Central Utility Plant; evaluating problems with equipment; planning and performing repairs and modifications.
Perform corrective and preventive maintenance as scheduled or warranted, including calibrations, water quality checks, lubrication, and chemical treatments.
Accurately take and log gauge and meter readings. Read local indicators/gauges and/or computer consoles at specified intervals to verify operating conditions. Utilize manual, automatic, and computerized controls to bring equipment into prescribed operating ranges.
Maintain logbook and record of operating conditions and actions taken, including chemical treatments, log equipment problems, and inform management of needed repairs.
Respond to emergency situations, switching to back-up equipment or shutting down equipment as conditions warrant.
Monitor site Building Automation Controls.
Monitor alarms for equipment in the Utility Plant.
Assist with other site maintenance duties, as needed.
Requirements
Candidates should possess a Bachelor of Engineering
An experienced Utilities Operator with at least 5 years of experience in operation and maintenance of Thermal Fluid Heater Boiler (THF) and as Utility Plant Operator/Operating Engineer is required.
Must have knowledge and experience of facilities systems (chilled water, compressed air, steam, domestic hot and cold water) and equipment (including HVAC, pumps, piping, valves, pneumatics, controls, motors, electrical up to 12,000 volts / 3 phase, heat exchangers, and air compressors.
