Job Summary:

Our client is seeking an experienced and skilled Trips Manager to join their logistics team. As a Trips Manager, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing the drivers and assistant drivers on each trip each truck embarks on. You will ensure that trips are executed efficiently, safely, and on time, while also meeting clients’ requirements and company standards.

Responsibilities:

• Plan and coordinate trips, including route optimization, driver assignments
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and government laws
• Monitor trip progress, address any issues or delays, and provide updates to partners
• Manage driver schedules, hours of service, and vehicle maintenance
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including HR/Admin, Repair and maintenance
• Analyze trip data to identify trends, optimize routes, and improve efficiency
• Develop and implement process improvements to increase productivity

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Transportation, or related field
• 3+ years of experience in logistics, transportation, or trip management
• Strong knowledge of logistics operations, transportation regulations, and safety standards
• Excellent planning, organizational, and communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines
• Proficient in logistics software, such as transportation management systems (TMS) and global positioning systems (GPS)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with route optimization software and transportation management systems (TMS)
• Knowledge of lean logistics and process improvement techniques
• Certification in logistics or transportation, such as CTL or CTP
