Treasury Manager at People Capacity Management

People Capacity Management is recruiting to fill the following role for one of her clients, an investment management company.

Treasury Manager  monitors the cash flow on a daily basis, making periodic analysis, by the use of certain investment skills and business acumen. He/She performs treasury activities related to cash flow, borrowings, debt, and capital management. Essentially, a Treasury Manager determines the procurement of funds and monitors investments and collections.

These duties are further outlined below:                                                                                                             

• Ensures policies and procedures meet the organisation’s objectives, needs and regulatory body requirements.
• Allocates cash balances, maintains investment records, and prepares expense and earning forecasts.
• Controls all banking and operating systems, authorisations of bank payment and also managing the money transmission systems.
• Partners with the company’s auditors (both internal and external) to ensure that all transactions having to do with treasury is recorded correctly and in accordance with laid down standards.
• Responsible for interest and debt analysis, with provision of relevant information and report
• Takes care of the cash management system of the company and their payment mechanism
• Responsible for following up on financial proceedings, and ensuring tasks are completed on schedule.
• Where and when necessary, he/she will instruct staff on how and when to take certain measure that will be beneficial to the company.
• He/she should expect to perform special projects and requests from time to time as the management deems fit.
• Requirements – Knowledge, Skills and Abilities – for the Treasury Manager’s Post
• BSc. in Accounting with requisite professional qualifications, or relevant field
• At least two year of experience in cash management will be an added advantage
• Proficiency in communicating with the management and staff of the company
• Ability to assign duties and to manage a team effectively
• Self motivated individual with effective organizational skills
• Ability to undertake multiple tasks at the same time without losing focus
• Must be proactive, with the ability to meet and surpass project deadlines
• Proficient in Computer and essential accounting packages
• Possess exceptional analytical reasoning skills to think problems thoroughly and generate solutions.
