Transport Manager at Fadac Resources

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the company's fleet's scheduling, maintenance, and utilization, ensuring vehicles are in good operational condition.
• Plan and manage transportation routes and schedules to optimize efficiency and reduce costs.
• Ensure all transportation activities comply with local, and national regulations, including licensing, permits, and safety standards.
• Monitor fuel consumption, maintenance expenses, and overall transport budget to maximize profitability.
• Implement and enforce safety policies, conduct regular inspections, and ensure drivers adhere to safety protocols.
• Collaborate with clients to ensure smooth delivery operations, promptly address complaints, and resolve transport-related issues.
• Use transport management systems (TMS) and other technology to track fleet performance, analyze data, and improve logistics processes.
• Negotiate contracts with fuel suppliers, maintenance providers, and insurance companies to optimize operational costs.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role, in a shipping or haulage companyProven experience managing a team of drivers and logistics personnel.
• Strong knowledge of transport laws, safety regulations, and industry best practices.
• Proficiency in transport management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and make quick decisions in a fast-paced environment.
