We are seeking an experienced and strategic Transport Manager to oversee and optimize our fleet operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing transport logistics, ensuring timely deliveries, monitoring fleet performance, and implementing best practices to enhance efficiency while ensuring strict compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and coordinate all transport and fleet management activities to ensure smooth and efficient logistics.
• Develop and implement transport strategies to optimize delivery timelines and reduce operational costs.
• Supervise and manage drivers, transport staff, and fleet supervisors to ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.
• Monitor fuel usage, vehicle maintenance schedules, and overall fleet performance to enhance productivity.
• Ensure compliance with road safety laws, company transport policies, and government regulations.
• Oversee vehicle servicing, repairs, and inspections, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum vehicle efficiency.
• Maintain accurate transport records, including vehicle logs, fuel consumption, maintenance reports, and expenses.
• Implement route optimization techniques to improve delivery efficiency.
• Train and mentor transport staff on best practices in safety, logistics, and fleet management.
• Handle transport-related incidents, emergencies, and driver concerns effectively.
• Liaise with suppliers, regulatory agencies, and internal departments to improve transport operations.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 4-7 years of experience in transport/logistics management, preferably in an FMCG or logistics environment.
• Bachelor's degree/HND in Transport Management, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Strong expertise in fleet management, route planning, and transport regulations.
• Proficiency in logistics software, fleet tracking systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and efficiently manage multiple transport operations.
