Trainee / Junior Graphics Designer at African Industries Group (AIG)

Job Summary

• We are currently seeking a creative, passionate, and detail-oriented Trainee / Junior Graphics Designer to join our team in Ikoyi, Lagos.
• The ideal candidate should have some practical experience in graphic design and be comfortable working with CorelDRAW and other industry-standard design tools.

Key Responsibilities

• Create engaging graphics and visual content for digital and print platforms.
• Develop designs for social media, marketing materials, presentations, corporate communications, and other business needs.
• Assist with the development of creative concepts and visual ideas.
• Edit and modify existing designs based on briefs and feedback.
• Work closely with the Marketing, Communications, and other internal teams to deliver creative materials.
• Maintain consistency with the company’s visual identity and branding guidelines.
• Assist with photo editing, image manipulation, layouts, and other design requirements.
• Keep up to date with current graphic design trends, tools, and creative techniques.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree, HND, OND, or relevant qualification in Graphic Design, Fine Arts, Visual Communication, Mass Communication, or a related field.
• Some practical experience in graphic design through employment, internship, freelance work, or relevant projects.
• Proficiency in CorelDRAW is required.
• Working knowledge of other design tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, Canva, or similar applications.
• Good understanding of typography, colour, composition, layouts, and visual communication.
• Creative mindset with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to understand design briefs and work within deadlines.
• A portfolio showcasing previous design work will be an advantage.
• Willingness to learn, develop, and grow within a professional design environment.
