Trainee Forklift Operator at The Candel FZE

Job Summary

• The Trainee Forklift Operator will undergo training to learn how to safely and efficiently operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment. The role involves supporting warehouse operations, learning proper handling of goods, and complying with all safety and operational standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in forklift operation training sessions and assessments.
• Learn to operate forklifts in a safe, efficient, and responsible manner under supervision.
• Assist in loading, unloading, stacking, and moving goods within the warehouse or yard.
• Support warehouse staff in organising, arranging, and maintaining inventory.
• Follow safety rules, operational procedures, and company policies at all times.
• Report any equipment defects, safety hazards, or operational concerns immediately.
• Assist with basic maintenance checks on forklifts (oil, water, tyre pressure, etc.).
• Perform any other duties as assigned by supervisors or trainers.

Requirements

• Minimum of Secondary School Certificate (SSCE) or equivalent.
• Physical fitness and ability to perform manual handling tasks.
• Good eyesight, hearing, and hand–eye coordination.
• Ability to follow instructions and work in a team.
• Basic numeracy and literacy skills.
• Punctual, reliable, and safety-conscious.
• No prior forklift experience required, but previous warehouse or logistics exposure is an advantage.
• Must be able to drive a vehicle and hold a valid driver’s licence.
• Not more than 35 years.
